Have you ever made a huge city or house or something like that, flew up and looked down and thought " man this would make a killer arena... but i also want to keep this for a normal world " or something like that?
That's why i suggest the "save as new" option. so you can have two maps with all the same stuff but then make them go their separate ways like make one a beautiful island with trees and a resort, then have another that is the same thing but with tons of zombies trying to eat you alive and you try to survive. I have wanted this for a long time especially when i get ideas like to turn a huge castle into a pvp arena, but want to keep my castle.

Also, you can reuse the same world seed over and over.
Yes, but a seed will not have all the buildings that you have built in that other world.

I don't support though, you can just make a new world, build the same thing you built in that other world, and in the new world, make any changes and add stuff to it. Save as New achieved.
although i admit wat you are saying is possible it is still super time consuming if you made a 400x300 castle and have many things inside. also what if your in survival and you want to do this? than it will take like another 2 weeks just to make sure you get a good enchantment or something.

I was just about to say this. It is not very hard.
Although using USBs is an alternative, I support this idea... since the renaming bug still seems to hit from time to time and some people do seem to get very confused when changing devices... causing accidental overwrites and/or deletions to occur. It would be much simpler and more reliable to have a "save as" option that would rename the save and save it to the same device all in one step.

Tell me what you think!
