The PC edition is made to be customizable. They brought it to the 360 to access a wider audience of people, some of them being the ones that can't afford a thousand dollar PC.
If I had a computer that was good enough to run Minecraft and everyone of my friends had it, I would leave the 360 too. It's leagues ahead of the 360 and the mods all look fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't.

I don't...I like to wear it because it has a protection value and the Diamond armor lasts longer and doesn't have to be replace nearly as often. Why do you need it in multi-player PvP?

Here's a thought, instead of complaining about other people's equipment... why don't you get better equipment of your own? Oh right... you mentioned that your Faction leader doesn't like to share... so sounds to me like you need a new faction leader... not a weak attempt to try to argue to Nerf the armor as it currently exists in the game.

Frankly, I'm surprised you didn't put limitations on everything....

ie. Leggings make more noise, so the better the armor the less likely you will be able to sneak while the Breast plate makes you more visible to MOBs at a distance....

If you're going to try and make armor suck and not be worthwhile at all... why not go all out?

You keep saying that a player in diamond armor is invulnerable... well they aren't, and it is a fallacy to say as much.

I agree on this.

It's more about skill as well, if somebody has diamond armor and sword, and you have iron armor and sword, but the guy with diamond is a complete idiot, and you are good at combat, chances are, you will win.

I thought you guys would understand but I guess not. Last and I have pretty much given up hope for anything in this topic to ever enter the game. When I started this topic over a year ago, I was asking for a more improved combat system that wasn't treated like a second thought and thrown together in five minutes. I guess that was too much to ask for. Not long ago, Last requested I add a poll to this topic. I have refused to do that because I knew I would be horrified by the results. I should have known that I was fighting a losing battle, and that the backlash would never stop. I honestly think that if this topic got more support than non support, it still would have a slim chance of getting into the game, and now its chance of getting in the game is pretty damn close to zero.

So yeah, to sum up this post, I am giving up hope for this suggestion and for this sad edition of this bug ridden game that I regret getting addicted to in the first place. I could have beaten so many games in the time I have wasted playing minecraft, but nope; it pulled me in like a black hole and I am unable to escape it no matter how hard I try.

Why only boots?

All of this was just debating something that you put out there as a thought. I am all for adding new weapons but I just don't think the changes you proposed would work. That and I do doubt that this will be added because nobody wants to touch the combat or weapons for some reason. Whatever, Mojang and 4J have their reasons. I believe that after all of this, we were all just talking and the results won't be as bad as you think.

It's a good concept and one I support, but perhaps it doesn't HAVE to be your way or the highway... and perhaps... some constructive collaboration might make it better overall to everyone involved... Not just for those that are only interested in the PvP aspect of the game.

Why is everybody not supporting firearms?

When you really think about it, firearms would not be too overpowered in Minecraft. It needs to reload, which can take a bit of time. And secondly, 4J and Mojang said that they would not allow guns, but they meant firearms like machine guns and assault rifles. All we are asking for is a simple musket or perhaps a flintlock pistol. Only two firearms, no big deal. This firearm idea might still have a chance. And why is everybody focusing on firearms and armor, we should be focusing on all of the weapons suggestions, and giving advice to improve them, not just arguing over and over about firearms.

The armor changes aren't too bad. Maybe there can be an option enabling them on/off so that way people playing single player won't deal with the armor changes.

I support the idea. You guys should at least if you don't support it to actually suggest ideas to make it better, rather than saying NO SUPPORT GET A LIFE!!!!!

Ok, Mojang said no guns. It is not up to you to determine what Mojang meant by what they said. Second of all, if you enable them then they aren't fair to everyone and just saying that something can be turned off does not make it better.

I will bet money that is not what mojang had in mind when they said that.

I said that you can enable THE ARMOR CHANGES, not the firearms. Read my post carefully before you accuse. Secondly, this idea still has a chance. People change there minds, including Mojang.
