Currently, armored players are basically invincible and almost cannot be stopped in one fight. If this ever gets added, that will be no more.

Very good point.

If you know the other guy is in a defendable position that isn't CQ it would almost be pointless and risky to go after him in your best armour.

Depends how far away you are.

Guns no way! They are 2 overpowered for Minecraft they don't fit the theme.

I am laughing my rear end off at how weak this reasoning is. How about we remove TNT or redstone or how about diamond tools while we are at it? Hmm?

In a game were u mine in caves I don't think Redstone wood fit well, but we indeed have that, so another invalid argument.

To answer your question... Yes, it would. It worked for Indiana Jones.

Not exactly mining per se, More spelunking through traps in caves and temples (which have been recently been added).

Machine guns and advanced military grade weaponry were never seriously proposed nor seriously supported in this thread... but primitive firearms, such as flintlock firearms, were mentioned.

Yes I've been wanting new weapons for a while and i think it would be a great use for my excess iron
