10 rounds per second, that's 300 rounds for the 30 seconds you're suggesting.
300 rounds isn't light. A 30 round magazine that will literally last you 30 zombies if you're a good shot is best.

the belts are between 100 rounds and 400 rounds. Assuming you are strong enough. This is coming from someone who splits logs all the time with the heavy maul and sledge hammer. I think you can flick it to semi auto, to get more accurate, but I would want to spray when fighting marauders.

No, no you wouldn't ammo is your life in a brass casing.
Once you run out you're dead.
Even front line soldiers have to worry about ammo conservation, they'll often fire LMGs in medium bursts to retain accuracy and ammo conservation. The only purpose of automatic fire is to suppress.
In zombie apocalypse you outsmart not outgun.

Remember, I have my hammer strapped to my back waiting to get killing. Also, I am not dumb enough to want to spray all of my ammo unless the marauders I am fighting have the same kind of ammo on them. I will probably have a smaller gun on my back too, to protect myself just in case I run out. People say that they will go out with a bow and arrows in a zombie apocalypse. If the zombies somehow don't wipe you out in the first day, the marauders will. You can't really use a bow in a gun-dominated society. For silent take downs, I would want a sound suppressed pistol. Not as cumbersome as a bow, and doesn't require years of training. Also, having what it takes to out gun would be useful. I watched a video where boogie2988 on youtube, which is this big fat guy, tried to kill a foam zombie with an Xbox 360 console. It didn't go too well. He had to hit it like ten times before it broke. The end advice of the video was to save your Xbox for gaming during the apocalypse, if you have power, not killing zombies. After one zombie kill, the Xbox was all broken too.

A defendable weapon is best in the open, something shorter is better in buildings.
LMG will never be a quiet as a bow or crossbow, crossbow requires less skill than a gun because it doesn't need to be cleaned inside and out.
I don't suppose you know how to assemble and disassemble an automatic weapon?
A simple revolver or semi auto pistol is hard enough. Trying to remember how a LMG goes together... Not easy.
They don't usually design things to be able to crack people's skulls. Things like the Xbox are designed to reduce impacts.
The best weapon if you are even going to consider spraying is a shotgun, because a single shot has the ability to kill multiple frontline zombies (tripping up others) which is ammo conservation in its finest.
For bandits buck and ball might be a good idea which is buckshot and a slug which means accuracy isn't of uttermost importance and a good shot is usually lethal.
I am already subscribed to boogie, his Francis vids are pretty funny.
A silenced pistol is a great choice of weapon preferably a 9mm for ammo availability.
A G17 is used by most types of military and law enforcement it doesn't have to be cleaned often either hardly ever jams, great German firearm.
German and Russian firearms are from what I've heard... The most reliable, however Russian weapons aren't crazy on rails and such for attachments.

That's a tricky proposition.
Look at the current sword recipe its already 3 long.
I was thinking a shaft recipe to support the idea of having longer blades. Like now instead of some material being used for the hilt its all blade baby.

Minecraft isnt about auto weapons or anything more than piecing together stuff to survive. a single shot flintlock that is reloadable makes since, a fabricated LMG doesnt have any related parts to minecraft. Just think about what makes sense, not what you dream of.

We are just going off topic. We are talking about zombie weapons, not in game weapons. Also, to you last, I don't see what takes soooo much skill about using a flintlock. You shoot, the little brush that it comes with you stick it in there, pull it out, put some gunpowder in there, drop the musket ball in there, then shoot again. Also, I know a gun that would settle our needs. Automatic shotgun! Fire rate is high, and you can conserve ammo. It doesn't fire that fast. One mag holds like twenty but that is enough. The gun is light, and reloads like an assault rifle, not like a pkm or any other shotgun.

Yes, they have great recoil reduction systems aswell.
Ammo as far as I understand is easy to fabricate if you do ever run out of the common 12 gauge ammo and you can stick a magnitude of stuff in a shotshell.
If you could somehow manage to suppress them, even better!
You hardly ever need to engage zombies at extreme ranges so there's no issue of that.
The relatively slower fire rate of an automatic shotgun ensures ammo waste is low If any.
I'm pretty sure they have a fire selector aswell.
A musket isn't complicated but It will still require some training, you can't just stick an old amount of powder in there you might destroy the chamber and seriously hurt yourself.

That makes it the perfect zombie weapon. Maybe you should still have a big gun at your barricaded house. Make a door that is too complicated for zombies to understand, or use your garage door to get in. Barricade every other door. Also, be sure to not use your Xbox for killing zombies during the apocalypse.
Like I said, think realistically, what makes sense, flintlock, or auto shotgun? Flint locks do.
I'm sorry, we are a bit off topic at the moment.
We're talking about zombie apocalypse weapons... For some reason.
Auto shotgun- zombie apocalypse
Flintlock- plausible Minecraft weapon.

I would cry if they put an auto shotgun in minecraft. I know the perfect zombie weapon. Chuck Norris. He looks at them and every zombie and marauder within a 100 mile radius instantly explodes.
