Yeah, battleaxe, musket, and definitely a war hammer. Can't go wrong with a war hammer. Maybe a war axe too which is basically a one handed battleaxe, and a other sword types.

Why u no want spear?
Let's u keep distance from mobs but has low damage and requires little materials.
Isn't so good if there's alot of mobs.
I see its main use of knocking back creepers in caves as some players won't have a sword good enough to kill them quickly enough.
You can also sprint throw it for a critical and it will always bounce off mobs.
IMO I'd rather have a spear than one handed axes.

It would be from favourite to least (maybe u guys could do the same.)

No No No rapiers suck they lack the force to break bones and there is only one way to insta kill and that is stab the opponent through the eye and scramble their brain and that was only recorded once. My five picks:
Im all in with this, It'd be cool if we'd stick in with the Minecraft style and have a dispenser which we can use to aim manually around like a turret.
About the flintlocks though.. I don't think any kind of firearm should exist around Minecraft even if its tempting.
I forgot to mention I really want shields aswell.
I wanna have a spear and shield but it wouldn't work because you'd wouldnt be able to either block or throw

The way the shield would work is that whenever you are holding anything, you can parry with the shield. The shield would absorb like two thirds to three fourths of the damage. All shields would be the same in protection, but different tiers last longer than others.

I like the ideas of flintlocks, but not even bolt or lever action rifles should be allowed. Id say the damage on it should be half of full health (sorry I cant remember the heart amount)and it would have like a10 second reload to balance that out, to fire you would need gunpowder and a musket ball, made from 1 iron ingot or stone maybe. Crafted from 2 iron ore, 4 wood, and 1 flint. A pistol would have same features, but less damage, maybe 1/4 of full health.and crafted from 3 wood, not 4. A battleaxe, I have been dying for something like that, but what could you do to make it more distinct? Crossbow, not as big of a fan of.

More than half of full health with the musket. Maybe three fourths. If it costs a musket ball and a gunpowder, definitely more than half health. Also, that would make a bow more powerful which would be unrealistic. I would rather be shot with a recurve bow than a musket. The musket would also blow back the person who shot it and the person it hit. I just want some projectile that a player can't dodge easily. The melee weapon that is most appealing to me is the war hammer. The thing is, I don't want like an assault rifle in Minecraft.

The sword is a melee weapon. That reminds me. Shouldn't you be able to put a bayonet on the musket? That would make it a melee weapon too.

This would mean we need to include daggers.

Have half the reach of a sword and barely any knock back but they should swing faster and do 3/4 of the sword damage.
You should be able to duel wield somehow effectively getting 1.5 damage of the or 2x damage per second since it swings faster but with no knock back and half the range.
On the musket however it should have a slower swing but longer range, effectively acting as a spear, minus the ability to throw.
Also with the musket, if you have the crosshairs on a target for X number of seconds with your loaded musket it should create a critical hit which should (like a critical enchanted bow strike) kill in one hit.

I also want to add the idea of monsters getting harder as your equipment increases in power. In hard or hardcore modes.
This would mean if you have full diamond you might be seeing zombies with iron armour spawn from you but only spawned near you and not spawned when another new player joins and ventures off.
Zombies should start spawning with wooden swords and stuff as soon as you get a stone or iron one. Once you get iron armour they'd start spawning with leather. Also chain armour can now be obtained in survival.
Skeletons might spawn with crossbows. Or the odd piece of chain armour.
Creepers get a slight speed boost, and some darker looking ones have bigger explosion which should also drop more gunpowder when killed.

Only if they are more likely to drop their stuff. Have you seen the mythical mobs thread? I say that once you have armor on, those things should be more likely to spawn in your zone, but should spawn in their area still.
These would be cool things to add. But Mojang wants Minecraft to be age-friendly. (Meaning suitable for all ages) if this was implemented it would sound a lot like a COD update. Still these would be good suggestions for Fighting Clans/War servers.
