Okay! I have had it with the limited amount of weapons in the game. Without enchantments, even a diamond sword can seem powerless, and you will easily get overwhelmed even on easy, and this is coming from someone who plays on hard. We need battleaxes, war axes, clubs, warhammers, spears, and best of all, crossbows. Very similar to bows, but arch less, and be more damaging and accurate, but require bolt. I don't know how, but bolt should be renewable like arrows. Also, some of you might think this is too far, but we need muskets and flintlock pistols. We would need musket balls for those, and they would consume gunpowder. That is as far as firearms should go. We don't need a PKM LMG to fight off creepers.
So basically everything from Balkon's? I AGREE FULLY!!

Most people aren't fond of even muskets, however crossbows seem popular.

Please someone get 4J employees to either confirm or deny an update with the above.
I haven't gotten my hopes too high with muskets simply because half of the community dislikes the idea.
But crossbows and battle axes seem like the two most favoured weapons.
Spears would be nice as well for range to add a third element to fighting with weapons.
Slow with high damage.
Faster with med damage.
Low damage with good range med speed.
It works great because each one excels in a different area.
Swords for an all round option.
Spears to keep a player at distance, good for a dangerous player that outgears you.
Battleaxes for a high damage, great if you get first hit.
But I suppose that can go further to say, daggers for fast swings but very short range.
A fourth element could be better effectiveness against armour like said before with warhammers.

Muskets would take like three seconds to reload and consume one gunpowder to shoot once. Crossbows would be about the same, but get rejected by armor except the wood armor, which it would stick into, and leather.
This would be great for jungle biome exploration.
I dunno.
But chainsaws?
May aswell add diggers, sniper rifles and planes with em.
