That sounds better than my idea.
Especially if we can map sprint to the left thumbstick.
I think what we need is a good dev, taking a step back and looking at what is wrog in minecraft and then fixing it. We need to be able to customize our own controller scheme, we need better loading so that we don't have people on a slower network unable to even play online because they can't load a level.

Sorta like the anvil loading system they got on the PC but maybe different for the Xbox?
That would be good and all but I get the feeling that our version is already very optimised.

New idea! Quivers and those pouches that you put the musket balls in. I know Jeb rejected the idea l long time ago, but this would allow multiple types of arrows an musket balls in the game. Like flint arrows, obsidian arrows, diamond arrows, and iron arrows, and explosive arrows. They should make arrows retrievable too. Kill your target and they drop some of the arrows you shot into them. With musket balls, wood, stone, iron, and diamond, and explosive. You push left trigger while holding the quiver or pouch, and you choose which ammo type to put in the quiver or pouch. Only stores up to 64. You can only equip a quiver or a pouch, not both. The musket balls should not need gunpowder in the pouch. Also, how about with muskets, it has massive knock back.
Exactly. I would always have the biggest musket, but with crappy ammo, and the best warhammer. I just like pounding people. I think budder armor and better should reject arrows, but bullets should pound it.There are things that should damage the armor but completely protect the player. Dog bites should only damage the armor, and hurt the dog. Arrows should get rejected by chestplates. There should be an animation like the damaged piece of armor turns red only.Zombie solders that have muskets as a rare drop and up to ten iron musket balls as a normal drop.Zombie archers that drop crossbows and bolt, these two ideas would make the things renewable.I would only use bows for the explosive arrows, or the crossbow for explosive bolt.

This could be perfect for enchanting the arrows instead of just the bow, then we could have different arrows with different effects. you could hit a button on the d-pad to switch between arrows too.
Poisoned arrows, fire arrows, and that crap, but there should be that in bolt. I never see myself using a bow again when we get this update. The musket and the crossbow will be all dat.
I always love the ability to add varity to anything, especially minecraft. I think however that you should add a flamethrower (no particular reason why...)
Budder should have some good quality, like more fire resistance or something like that.
I think it gets better enchantments for your level at the moment.
But it's still a novelty.Just got an idea for gold armour.
Maybe it has more Risistance to muskets and crossbow like stuff since its more malleable instead of brittle like iron.
Since brittle metals would break in fractures and create shrapnel while something not as solid as gold might have more give and just slow down the projectile.
Just my thinking behind that subject.

Really liking the ideas in this post! The weapons seem like they are well covered in this topic, but I would like to see armors being able to be colored and dyed. It serves a legitimate purpose when having team based games and seems like it would be a really simple concept to pull off! If it's possible to dye a sheep just by clicking it with a dye, shouldn't it be possible to dye an iron block? (make the block into armor). Or maybe just have it in the crafting menu as a new item that requires a dye + an armor set, much like wool and dyes options are set up.
Feel like this kind of stuff will be possible once 4J starts putting out texture packs and such (:

Yeeha I agree with shields. I don't like guns that much, though.... gosh it's E... for EVERYONE!

Cobblestone is so early game it's not funny.
Iron blocks are more expensive however.
