What if the thing (whatever you call the thing that holds the things it's going to launch) lets you can place anything in it.
So basically you could just launch whatever junk you have.
It would make for some pretty awesome castle siege maps

I got the perfect castle at the edge of my plains.
ATM plains is meant to be non PVP... But I did make a barracks with sieges in mind.
The castles looking pretty good if I may say so myself, I've had 5 of the 6 strangers compliment me on my work and 3 of them griefed me lol.
If you ever want to see it and maybe build something I was hoping to get a few around that could come on for some nice survival.
However the map is mostly PVP and I wouldn't mind if you tried staying with older building styles (my friends already built a secret ICBM though )
Sorry I get carried away.

Well you can make a catapult for aesthetic appeal right now (maybe no as good without those reverse slabs like from tutorial) yet can't use it unfortunately. lol

You can make almost anything aesthetically.
Maybe not to scale though.
What we are asking for is function.

Did those other guys on your world grief or something?
Did you add 4J?
I was thinking maybe two different types of crossbow.
A fast firing lowish damage wooden one maybe from a different type of wood if each wood type gets a different model. Eg birch as longbow etc.
Maybe oak crossbow.
And a much more powerful crossbow with iron arms that takes longer to reload aswell.
When loading you should bend down like using the foot hold and string gets pulled back, then the bolt can be put in quickly with a single click.

Everyone except Nighthawk was fine, but Nighthawk kept hitting creepers. I exited because the endermen killed me and I did not want those kids to have my stuff. Their friends list is full.I would rather use a cross bow than a bow.
I agree, Crossbow would be much more accurate, much more powerful, yet have a slower rate of fire. I also like the idea of different types of bow using different types of wood. I think that if they add a crossbow or a musket we need to be able to make a rudimentary scope so that we can actually see what we are shooting from longer distances.

Iron sights would make sense.
But the earliest type of scope I can think of was the Malcolm scope which is shown in a few western movies.

Might be hard to implement though.
The best idea I can think of is a hold LT and release to fire like the bow and maybe it would go to a looking down the crossbow view, or maybe toggle able by pressing RT while holding to fire, could be same with normal bows.
However the crosshairs in the middle is quite accurate so I don't mind either way.

Well then go play on hard. I have been overwhelmed many timmes with an enchanted diamond sword. Wait! Do you wear armor? I do not wear armor for monster fighting, only PVP. With muskets, they would need to be better than bows because they suck. They have a nasty habit of bouncing off the target mob, and that can be life costly. Go play on hard with four zombie pigmen right there with no armor, you will see what I mean.

Why not just click the left thumbstick while holding left trigger, this way you only zoom in when the weapon is readied, plus you could opt for toggle or hold.

That sounds better than my idea.
Especially if we can map sprint to the left thumbstick.

How do you expect me to get armor on legit survival? I can't make a diamond generator. In the nether, I would go through multiple suits of budder armor to get enough nuggets to make a suit of armor. I do pretty well without it.

I just burrowed that game off my friend.
T looks funny though.
I thought the trailer was a joke, turns out the whole DLC was a joke.

Put some armor on then. Not too bright, are you?
