I think there needs to be more volume controls, it shouldn't just be Music Volume and then Everything-Else-Volume.
Cause, I wouldn't mind hearing myself walk and mine, etc. But I don't want to hear the annoying animals, or that zombie you cannot find hidden in some wall in your castle, or that skeleton who knows where in that cave.
The mob sounds can get annoying pretty fast at times.
Cause I often don't play without sound.. at all. Because of this.
The music goes on a constant loop and it's always been the same song for ever so I have the music volume down all the time. And more often than not I have the volume that controls everything else down all the way as well.
I'm just not interested in playing a game like I'm deaf (no rudeness intended towards those who are deaf if so, then sorry).
I like to build houses inside mountain sides, so nothing gets quite as annoying as constantly hearing cows and zombies just outside my walls, wailing all day and night. Cows especially, cuz at least zombies burn up in the daytime. And if the cow is on a high spot, on a single grass block? MAJOR RAGE.

Believe me it honestly doesn't help.. I have a giant mountain house.. and.. there's always a sheep or.. SOMETHING stuck in the walls somewhere where I can't find them anywhere.
While it is... actually better.. I have no idea but I have litereally had sheep spawn in the middle of a spot in the way that was literally just big enough for it to fit in but not big enough to walk, or move in any way.
I think they really need to fix how they make things spawn.
This is kind of a blank suggestion.... you say that you dislike the volume controls, but you never posted ways to improve them, other than "Get rid of animal noises!"

But regardless, I support the idea.
Little self explanatory.. Lol.
I did say I didn't like how there's "music volume" and "everything else volume", and I said how there needs to be more volume controls.
Perhaps give it a re-read and think about it a bit.
This is a fine suggestion and would be fantastic, not only for the 360 edition of Minecraft, but hopefully to the other platforms as well. There should be individual volume sliders for practically everything in game, similar to that on PC.
I sure would take advantage of this hopeful update by going out and buying some licensed Microsoft headsets at my local Microsoft store and maybe while I'm there a windows phone. Just as it is now with what we have, I'm starting to feel that my regular TV speakers will suffice with the poor customization options that are present with our MC console editions.

If I had my way, every mob would have it's own volume control lol. But I know that won't happen.
So maybe if there was one for animals, hostile mobs, and villagers that'd be good.
Music is fine sometimes.. But I just wish that it would play something other than the in-game song forever.
I mean, there's 30 plus music discs.. Why can't we have some of the music discs we own play so we have something other than the same song all the time?
I'm okay with all the music in the game, except for the normal song because it's overplayed.. and that weird.. black broken one that sounds like the recording of a silent scientist murdering someone. LOl
