We need a storage system which allows us to effectively "bank" our enchantment points so if we die, we don't lose days or even weeks of EP and have to either;
1. Start over, reload last save, and potentially lose too much work.
2. Keep going and grind another week to get back to where we were.
Currently, we're lucky to get 1/3 of our lost experience.
If I understand the new update correctly you can create enchanted books which can then be used later to enchant items, so maybe this would be the way to do it?
Sometimes I have had everything I needed to be enchanted all enchanted. And therefore no reason to spend exp points. So I always thought of a 'bank' to store it in as well.
I think I even made a thread about it. I'll have to go check.
Like it was stated before, using enchanted books is the best way to "store" your XP if you're afraid of losing it. Books have a low enchantability so may enchant something else if you want. The point is that you can't save the actual XP so you need to invest it somewhere so you don't lose out on it. Already have 2 diamond picks that you're using? Enchant another one. It's better than going back to the grind.
BTW, what is taking you days and weeks to get XP? I've accidentally reached 30 by doing my everyday chores like breeding, smelting, and trading and that only took a few real-time hours
This should be part of the ender chest feature. Like there should be a separate part of the ender chest that you put all of your exp into so when you want it later, use an ender chest.
It would be great if they didn't give 3-7 exp., which makes them pretty much a waste of time and glass.
I say if people want to bank their XP in bottles of Enchanting and waste the time and glass on it, then let them.
However that raises a point, I don't understand why the bottle of Enchanting is a splash potion anyway, why can't we just drink it to get the XP AND save the bottle for future use anyway?

Hmm... maybe have it behave in a way say... "Potion of Experience", drink it, and you get an additional 50% exp on everything that gives it?

Although an interesting idea by itself, that really doesn't follow the original intent to have some mechanism in survival to 'bank ep' that was accumulated. Being able to craft bottles of enchanting is one way, but as pointed out, that would have a very high glass cost to make the bottles to use in the first place, and although there may be plenty of sand in the world, I don't care to strip mine the surface, plus it would be an inordinate waste of time to do not only that, but smelting the glass, crafting the bottles, making the potions, etc, especially in the quantities to make this viable.
At least netherwart and water is easily renewable, glass bottles are a production to make, and a splash potion that yields so little EP back upon use is a waste of a glass bottle, IMO.

That's why I don't make splash unless I have to.
I'd rather save the bottle.

There's no need to add something just because you cannot hold onto your exp. until level 30.

Curse PremiumWhy would you level up past 39? Kind of pointless.
