I don't know about you but I feel the game needs a mob that lives in the water, besides squid. A hostile mob or neutral one. Give some feedback on it please.
Mystery Monster
Basics
I don't know what this will look like or what it should be called but it shouldn't be something that is in real life, it should be like endermen, creepers, pigmen; made up and unique. This monster dwells in the deep dark water and rarely comes out in the shallow waters. This thing is neutral, (1) it will either leave you alone until you attack it or (2) leave you alone most of the time and sometimes attack. If the second one, it will be like spiders. Attack for sure during the night and leave you alone in the day or it can just be random no matter the time.
Damage/Health
This monster has 15-20 hearts/health. It deals 2 and half hearts in normal mode and 4 hearts in hard mode, so don't try to pick a fight with this guy until you are really prepared.
Items
This monster could drop a special egg. Put the egg in a pool of 6/8 blocks deep of water and of course have enough room for it too move when it hatches, so no digging one hole 6/8 blocks deep and calling it good. It needs depth and width. Place the egg above a block of glowstone to incubate it in the water. The egg will hatch eventually and a smaller version of the monster will appear. You can tame it with any kind of meat or lily pads. Once tamed it will follow you when in the water and attack any other hostile mob in the water. It will go to any open underground caves, fortresses, dungeons or mines when near and show you where to go underwater.
This is what I've got and I can improve it if needed. Tell me what you like, don't like, ask questions if your not sure about something and etc please. It's not the best suggestion either, I know. Just kind of a fun thing to do though. Thanks.
Some caves and etc are exposed/open in the water. The sea creature would show you where to go underwater if there is one nearby. You can then swim down into it.
I was thinking about that in Minecraft. So i made a creature made of blocks. It's so dumb i don't wanna share it. Cuz so stupid. Minecraft needs more mobs than horses, zombies, etc.
Yeah, but Junokaii has a point. Other hostile MOB's won't spawn 'in' water, and you have to be near shore for them to follow you (or even randomly move into) the water. Interesting idea, but I also feel that it needs some more hostile water MOB's added, and it probably shouldn't attack other MOBs of its own species anyway.

I forget the name of it but there is this octopus that lives at the south pole, and it has bone hooks on it's tentacles instead of suckers. It is bright red and probably like 2-3 times bigger then the average person. That would be a mob I wouldn't want to mess with.

I don't think the game needs another tamable animal, especially a sea-borne one, and I'm not entirely sure of the boss-like quality to the creature... But I'm totally in favor of a hostile water mob.
I cast my vote for the colossal squid.

You mean only creepers (and blazes actually). Creepers and blazes are the only unique original mobs in Minecraft. Everything else in Minecraft are not fully unique and original.
I made the Smiling Fish. I must work for the appearance later. Here's some info: Smiling Fish |Health: 20 bars | Appearance : 10 blocks high. Has sharp teeth and blue skin.| Picture: Working| Damage: 1 bar| That's all.

How can it go in caves, dungeons or mines if it was a sea creature? Couldn't it only survive in water?
Half support.
I play MINECRAFT. And TERRARIA. MESSAGE me if you want to play Terraria.
Seriously? Polar Bears? Just kiddin! Polar Bears are nice ideas! Tnx for the idea! Gonna make a mod. And seriously your polar is poler.
Okay, problem is though.. there are no hostile mobs in the water, except for a bigger version of the creature you tame.....
Unless they make squid more hostile like in real life... or add sharks or something similar I don't see how this could really be worth it....
Yeah agreed.
I'm not denying the idea but.. Yeah.

I cast my vote for the colossal squid.
You should stick to the real suggestion here - the Mystery Monster of the Deep.

No, I shouldn't.
I already posted my thoughts on it and I vote for the colossal squid. Or a shark.

I was also thinking of a dolphin, like the one on the Battle and Beasts 2.
