I have an idea for how to incorporate certain big add on packs, similar to ones from PC that people really enjoy on twitch and YouTube so much, and incorporate that into an option a player can select from the in-game menu.
If there were to be a selection other than the normal single or multiplayer options available, perhaps something along the lines of 'Mini Games,' there would really be a ton of elbow room for commercial opportunities that weren't available before.
Think about it, with a mini game option, players could choose an instance session of the popular games from PC Minecraft mods such as Hunger Games, countless parkour and jump maps that are loads of fun, etc.
The model I picture is this, give everyone(or gold members) the option to create and submit a map they created to this list of existing or cool DLC maps (possibly the min and max limits for player created content could be based on the already existing chunk load limitations?) But in the Mini Game menu players should easily be able to rate maps they have played. This way the highest ranking one(s) could potentially form their own mini cluster communities of people (like myself) who love to watch their favorite YouTuber or broadcaster kicking butt in the online communities for these mods on PC, yet I don't have a PC to join in on the fun.
But what I do have is my minecraft on 360. So, pretty please?
ON a second note, I have an idea for a fun little minigame involving the minecraft zombies and multiplayer.
Imagine a mix of halo's infected and call of duties Nazi zombies. Where a player can join with random or friends (for this idea large groups like 10, 15, or 20 would work best) to brave a map such as a small section of a downtown city block. Each player spawns in a random building, but no more than 2 in the same building and neither on the same floor. And in the city there are tons of invisible zombie mob spawns strategically placed to keep players from getting to each other. If a player loses a certain amount of health to zombies he becomes infected. (Here the player can be forced to watch his comrades survive, become a zombie bro with the power of fist punch, or have the option to decide between the two!)
The only goal of the game is to be the last steve alive at which time there will be a 1:00 warning where all the zombies instantly aggro and try to kill the remaining Steve. If players have the option to become zombies it would be a useful application for player markers, Brain shaped player marker? Just a thought;)
Anyway, if the player can survive the last minute he can be assumed to survive along with the hope that humanity survived in part of the post apocalyptic world. If he doesn't win...? Well players can always que up again easily because this game was highly ranked on the Mini Game menu!
Regardless of my facetious attitude, I appreciate your time if you read any portion of my banter.
If you have any commentary on my ideas I would love to hear it.
