Hey guys anyone who watches mindcrack knows a famous tradition they do which is UHC tournaments! UHC stands for Ultra Hardcore. UHC is where your hearts do not regenerate naturally like even if your hunger bar is full you will not be able to regen; the only way to regen is to eat a golden apple/notch apple and potions such as regen potions or instant health potions. Not saying 4j should make a whole other game mode next to survival and creative but an option before you start up your world being able to check naturalRegeneration and being able to check that or having something say UHC. Other commands which are in pc could also be in the checklist before starting up a world such as when you load it up with cheats or something you could load it up in either day or night and be able to check whether the sun moves or not meaning perpetual day/night. Also they need to nerf the regular golden apple to ingots instead of nuggets. Also from this they could also add a whole game mode next to survival and creative labeled Ultra Hardcore. If they were to make a new game mode they could tweak things such as removing god apples to be able to be crafted and regeneration pots to be made, and making glistering melons to require a gold block instead of nuggets all around it which is the recipe for pc but for the consoles for the moment all you need it 1 nugget which I am sure will be tweaked a bit in the coming future.

This sounds ridiculous.... You'd have a fight with two zombies and be done. Starting from scratch... It'd be impossible to go beyond half hour of play.....

yeah I did say the ULTRA in it and from what I said it would be toggle able from the start of the world so it isn't forced on everyone in my experience I have had allot of fun with this it brings challenge to the original minecraft and if you think this is ridiculous well i don't care go complain to guude xD

I think its a cool idea, particularly for multiplayer, but instead of putting it in the Creative/Survival option, you could put it in the difficulty setting as its effectively one up from hard difficulty.

I agree with Junokaii. You would never have a chance to survive - one explosion from a creeper, or a few hits from a skeleton, and that would be the end of everything. You would never be able to accomplish anything.

yes if you are noob you can do nothing 1 explosion from a creeper would already kill you if it where close to you people on the pc do it all the time and live with it yes i know xbox is full of noobs but for hardcore people like me we don't think the xbox is a challenge and if you wouldnt like this as a feature I'm sure it would be togglable. oh and most of the minecraft i play on pc is uhc and i don't die every half hour i know somebody who has played on a server on pc and has never died even with this on so if you think this is too hard step up your game

I support this.

Like someone mentioned have it a difficulty setting beyond Hard or maybe have a "Regen Off" checkbox under host options. Either way I think this is a good addition.

And just a note to those who think this will make the game too hard: You don't have to use it!
What's wrong with at least having the option?

I definitely support this, I'm a huge fan of mindcrack and have always found it annoying how I couldn't host UHC tournaments.

If it were on a UHC mode, one explosion from a creeper can indeed kill you.

Not everybody are noobs - everybody is good at something. I'm a noob at redstone - I admit. But the real point is, you can't say everybody is a noob when some people ARE better than YOU.

EDIT: PC people might not die but I DEFINITELY would. I play on Easy mode and Peaceful mode. I'm ashamed too.

If something needs to be toggleable then its probably not a good idea. Because if it WAS a good idea, their would be no need to toggle it.

I don't support adding a UHC "difficulty" since UHC is just a mini-game at the end of the day. I do however support the addition of gamerules to the Xbox version of the game. They're a bit overdue by now, if you ask me. There isn't much of a reason not to have them in the Xbox version of the game and I imagine they will be in a future update.

Not a good argument considering how many things in the game are already toggleable:

Creative v. Survival
Peaceful v. Easy v. Normal v. Hard
Flat v. Normal
Online v. Offline
Fire Spreads On v. Off
PvP On v. Off
etc.

Some ideas are better BECAUSE they are toggleable. Especially when you are talking about Game Mode affecting options such as this one.

I am not the kind of pro in minecraft that can do any challenge they tell him to do but I am the kind of person that LIKES to TRY doing those challenges.

Maybe I die in the first half hour on the game but I would like the option to be able to play it with a few friends.

yes but i do realize most people on minecraft xbox aren't people who play pc which doesn't mean they don't know who mindcrack is but the majority of xbox players wouldn't i know people i went to school with who started playing mc and said who is notch and many more very funny questions a noob would ask xD i think i should have put a poll I'm new to the mc forums but still

I think it might be wise to stop calling it UHC since that's actually just a game. The core of the suggestion is turning off regenerating hearts. So let's just call it that: Toggle regen on/off.
