hello every today i want to ask you something do you support the sky dimension in mc360?
why i want it in mc360? if you do not know minecraft 360 is an older version of minecraft (1.2.5 at the moment of this post) where pc minecraft is at 1.7.5 thats 5 major updates away, now there is nothing new in mc360 over mc pc( unless you count the tutorial world or split-screen) but that gives any mcpc user no good reason to buy mc 360 or even consider buying it.
what is the sky dimension? the sky dimension was going to be the opposite of the nether notch had this idea about 4 years ago and instead we got the end. now this place would be the opposite of the nether or even the end, instead of being a very hostile place it would be more happy or sunny place but still would have its own dangers in this place we could have new mobs for example we could get tribes of pig men they could be like zombie pig men but would use iron swords and have small huts they live in, it would have new plants or ores to find (now am not the best person at making up ideas so i would like you to add things you would want in this dimension)
how would you get there? this i would like to hear your guys opinion
now i have a few pictures of what it was going to look like before the idea was trashed, but i do not want to see this feature in mcpc for a few reasons
1. it gives pc users a good reason to buy a console version of minecraft
2. it adds something new for people to do in console minecraft
3. we have something that mcpc users dont
here is a picture of what it would look like / could look like, but sorry about my grammer i have a spelling disorder

i think we should all use common sense and logic when we answer and ask a question but always stay open minded
just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
I like this idea. This has been constantly tossed around for years. I was personally thinking something more along the lines of like the aether or something similar.

And why's that? I know plenty of people who prefer consoles over PCs.
what is the sky dimension? the sky dimension was going to be the opposite of the nether. Notch had this idea about 4 years ago and instead we got the end. You say that like it's a bad thing.
now this place would be the opposite of the nether or even the end, instead of being a very hostile place it would be more happy or sunny place but still would have its own dangers It will be the complete opposite of the dangerous Nether. Oh, and it has danger.
in this place we could have new mobs. For example we could get tribes of pig men. They could be like zombie pig men but would use iron swords and have small huts they live in, Pigman rip-off, very original.
it would have new plants or ores to find Like....?
(now am not the best person at making up ideas so i would like you to add things you would want in this dimension) This is your suggestion which we critique.
how would you get there? this i would like to hear your guys opinion Again, your suggestion. Surely you can come up with something.
now i have a few pictures of what it was going to look like before the idea was trashed, but i do not want to see this feature in mcpc for a few reasons How selfish.
1. it gives pc users a good reason to buy a console version of minecraft Aether mod, done. No reason to buy the 360 version.
2. it adds something new for people to do in console minecraft Nothing to do with MCPE at all.
3. we have something that mcpc users don't I sense an air of superiority here.
but sorry about my grammer i have a spelling disorder I could understand it, which is enough for me.
Responses in bold.
I personally don't care for a fourth dimension myself, but having one added wouldn't ruin the game for me either.
This idea would show some potential if it didn't sound very similar to the Aether mod on the PC and wasn't brought up in every suggestion forum.
No support for now, but we'll see if anything changes here....

i understand your points but i didnt leave my ideas there cause my ideas just plain out suck every time i suggest something every one hates it but that one guy so this time i wanted to do something different but you did raise some really goods points that makes me think about this topic even more

I do like the overall concept, but like others have said, it does need something that makes it unique from the overworld in the way of materials.
There's a part of me that likes the idea that this is sort of an 'angelic' place that is opposite in nature to the Nether and friendlier than the End.
But at the same time, it does need its own set of challenges (besides the eminent fall to your death if you misstep).
I'd eliminate gravel and sand from this realm at the least (due to their propensity for falling), and none of the deeper ores like diamond, redstone, lapis lazuli. Maybe no natural nether quartz either, but perhaps some spawned structures designed and built using quartz blocks and clay blocks. Perhaps this could be an additional source of clay in general.
I like the waterfalls, and the lava falls, in general, especially seeing them just fall off into empty space....and how the cloud layer is below the islands in general.
Maybe, instead of being a different realm, it could just be part of the overworld realm, just extending the build area and starting this realm n the overworld at a floor of Y=256 and up (Since a Player can fly as high as Y=511 in creative) with a second cloud layer at around Y=319.
I think at these ranges, a player would have a difficult time seeing this realm from the ground (except from the top of the tallest peaks/structures) or even seeing the ground from this sky-realm (except for (maybe) the tips of the tallest peaks/structures on the ground).

i understand where your coming from but just to say this picture i had is about 4 years old it was a prototype of what it would be
To be honest it's just like a floating over world. A new dimension should be visually distinct from the others and contain specific mobs. That's probably why it was scrapped in favour of the end; which has it's own block and the ender dragon as it's unique mob.
sorry the picture i have is about 4 years old i will post a more recent idea of what it could look like, this picture below me is from the aether mod which in case you dont know is based off this idea but i agree with you it should be different from the over world

It would also be easy to find because of the water. The photo shows the water falling down off the island, possibly back to the ground, making it not as complicated to go up to the island:
This is the same image but cropped and resized. As you can see, their is a trail of water coming off the island, making a relatively easy way to get up.
I think that this realm could be accessed via a nether quartz portal placed over y 150 in a sky temple. This melds both ideas together. I like the clay idea suggested above and perhaps add a block that makes you move faster like the opposite of soul sand?
Add a pixy mob or flying mob of some kind.
