moose antlers would certainly look nice on the wall
How about alligators, submerged in the water but get too close and SNAP. Or grizzlies in the forests, maybe only spawning in cave entrances in forest biomes? And some sort of bird that actually flies might be quite nice, birds of prey maybe, that you could tame and use for hunting ocelots!
Alligators could be a land/water spawn in swamp biomes, Grizzlies/Brown Bears (Grizzlies being more coastal, while brown bears are more inland/interior... but genetically are the same) are a more northern animal, forests... yeah, but also taiga and other snow covered areas....same as wolves, I suppose.... but then again... they tend to hibernate in the winter... so maybe can be found dormant in caves in snow biomes, or roaming in forest biomes?
Ambient animals would be nice, birds and frogs and (gasp) bats and such.... birds of prey as pets would be cool too... not sure how useful having them to hunt ocelots specifically would be, but they could help with hostile MOBs... maybe have them be able to quickly fly in to attack Creepers who are not hissing to detonate, and getting some space from them when they do start their hissing detonation sequence (hit and run tactics), Thus, keeping them distracted and to alert you that they are there especially if they can initiate attacking on sight... and will continue to do so until the MOB is vanquished or the player moves a sufficient distance to cause the pet to 'teleport' to the player (how ocelots and wolves currently resolve getting 'stuck' and avoid being left behind when following).
Maybe it's just me, being an extremely practical person and all, but I fail to see the point of adding any animal that doesn't improve the intrinsic value of the game. I don't even bother breeding pigs since cows give more bang-for-the-buck with their leather drops. In fact, with my cow and sheep farms I can't even remember that last time I even saw a pig in my world.
Don't think I'm completely against the idea... I just think there needs to be more to it.
I started to make cow farms because they are a lot more useful, and i agree, animals that helped you anyway in the game would be better than animals that don't do anything like birds that you cant kill or snakes and lizards that just move around, i think that if they add animals they should have some impact on your game
I'm now going to recommend the buffalo or bison. They could be just like jacked cows with horns. They could live in the plains and just walk around in herds of 6 or over, and if you get to close the whole herd charges after you faster than you can run, and they are preety strong, but they deal a lot of damage when they hit you with horns, but they have a 25% chance of doing that. If you manage to kill them you get a lot of leather and beef, but you may also get a horn, whicj can be used for something i havent thought of.pretty* which* haven't*

You know... you can actually go back and correct your own typos, you don't have to reference them after the fact...

I think that we should have new animals, and i am going to start off by suggesting the moose. i think moose should be added to the game because it gets kind of boring with just about 5 animals, and i think a moose would be good. It would live in the snowy tree biome, and it would be neutral, and hard to kill, having a lot of health, but it drops a lot of beef, hide, and as a rare drop, antlers, and we can decide a use for them. They would travel alone, and hard to find. You can suggest more uses and things the moose should do.
I liek the idea of a moose. But I would like to see it be like wolves. Don't attack unless you attack them. Simply because in real life they're actually known to be very aggressive at times. But for the sake of it being added to a game, don't have it be like real life, and simply modified for the sake of being added to a game.

yeah I don't bother with pigs myself. Cows' beef gives more health, they give leather, and they give milk. So they really are the best animal. Chickens come a close second, and sheep are a practical animal (though I do wish they gave meat as well when you kill them) because they can be a dyed sheep farm to provide decorations.
And i agree because i stopped killing pigs, i just made a cow farm and when i get hungry i kill a cow, heat up its meat and eat it. Then i go back and breed. So i agree, if they are going to add animals, make them have some benefit for your game play
I wouldn't mind just seeing more biome specific animals. The only one that seems to fit the bill with that one is an Ocelot. They usually... are only found in Jungles.
Where as Cows, Sheep, Pigs, and Chickens manage to magically be in places that make no sense to be in.
I mean... The day I see a chicken swimming in the middle of the ocean (or even at all, since Chickens can't swim...) or a Cow that can climb a tree in the cold mountains... Lol.
So I don't know. Maybe some things like... some sort of monkey in the jungle,
Some sort of bear in the plains or cold mountains,
Insane_Asylum, you are an egg killer. Stop using Dragon Cave. You have killed every egg you touched. On topic, the moose would be good because it would drop a crap ton of meat.
What about sharks to put some danger into swimming through the ocean with out a boat...
I also think that we should have new water animals because the oceans kind of suck with no mobs besides squid, so it would add danger to waters, or even if they put some more friendly mobs like dolphins and whales. Even that would be good, but yeah oceans are really boring with no good mobsOkay I am going to try one more egg, please click on it

Okay just because I am new and I am not very popular does not mean you should just crap on my day

I do also. Not really over Call Of Duty because they are tryhards. But over MC because PvP is really fun!
