I think that we should have new animals, and i am going to start off by suggesting the moose. i think moose should be added to the game because it gets kind of boring with just about 5 animals, and i think a moose would be good. It would live in the snowy tree biome, and it would be neutral, and hard to kill, having a lot of health, but it drops a lot of beef, hide, and as a rare drop, antlers, and we can decide a use for them. They would travel alone, and hard to find. You can suggest more uses and things the moose should do.
I like this idea. I personally feel that more animals would make the game less boring. Also, the antler could be used for villager trading in the future as a form of currency.
Good Suggestion, Although It isn't the first time more animal has been suggested.
You're also gonna need to edit In some more detail If possible. To help you out a bit I'll ask few question to help improve the suggestion. I refuse to suggest things In someone else suggestion unless completely necessary
- Can moose be bred?
- Are moose tamable, If so, do they have any purpose for doing so?
- Are moose Hostile or passive mob type?
- Does the moose AI take after our casual animals such as Pigs or cows, far as being hit. Or maybe It'll run away when you approach It, similar to the ocelot AI.

It gores you with its huge rack.... over and over... then tramples you under their cloven hooves and their 1200 lb weight.... then picks up your limp and battered body with that rack and tosses you like a rag doll... just for good measure.
I think with the moose, you should have to get a certain number of blocks close to it before it attacks you, and maybe you could tame it and put a saddle on it and ride it around, hunting down animals.

If taming and breeding is implemented.... Maybe feed it leaves to tame/heal/breed? ... and maybe have it so that it will not attack you if you are holding leaves in your hand when you get within it's personal space, but if you switch off leave before it is tame... watch out, it may attack if you are too close or otherwise attack it first.
yeah, or maybe apples or whatever moose eat, and it shouldn't attack you while you have the food in your hand, but also they should be really big and deal a lot of damage
yeah, horses do like apples, but what do moose eat, like leaves or apples or plants or what
Bark off branches and leaves mostly. I've never tried to offer one an apple before, I'm not sure how they would react to that, I certainly don't want to test it and find out. (There's a reason I suggested the leaf blocks).
They tend to strip a lot of trees of their leaves and bark in their wake.
Although moose lack teeth in the front of the upper jaw, they have little trouble dealing with the woody plant material that constitutes much of their diet. They feed on fresh leaves by browsing and may even pull a shoot sideways through their mouth, frequently stripping off up to two feet (one-half metre) of vegetation with the aid of the tough, thick tongue and lips. They also browse the tips of twigs, particularly the most recent growth. Regardless of how it is attained, the plant material is thoroughly crushed between twelve sets of broad, flattened teeth at the rear of the mouth, six pairs of molars and six pairs of premolars...
Although many different plants are eaten by moose, the type consumed depends on the availability, both geographically and seasonally. In general, preferred trees and shrubs include willows (Salix), trembling aspen (Populus tremuloides), redosier dogwood (Comus stolonifera), red maple (Acer rubrum), striped maple (Acer pennsylvanicum), white birch (Betula papyrifera), beaked hazelnut (Corylus rostrata), pin cherry (Prunus pennsylvanica) and, primarily in winter, balsam fir (Abies balsamea). Aquatic plants, particularly water shield (Brasenia schreberi), yellow pond lily (Nuphar sp.) and pondweed (Potamogeton sp.),constitute a preferred and important part of the moose's diet in summer.

I would personally like to see actual fish added! But as for totally new ones, maybe some new Savannah/plains animals like giraffes or rhinos? It would help lead to plains exploration (:
yeah, and maybe they could give us rain forests where it is full of animals like parrots and different types of birds. Also there could be sloths, jaguars, snakes, monkeys, and other animals, but it is always raining
moose antlers would certainly look nice on the wall
How about alligators, submerged in the water but get too close and SNAP. Or grizzlies in the forests, maybe only spawning in cave entrances in forest biomes? And some sort of bird that actually flies might be quite nice, birds of prey maybe, that you could tame and use for hunting ocelots!

Besides that, support
No. (see below)
No.
Neutral, like a wolf/zombie pigman....most of the time.... randomly hostile...especially if young calves are around.

Doubt it would run away as you approached... but if you invade their personal space, they might just have to put you down... hard.
Very helpful.
