So basically I think there should be animals that are hostile and will attack you on site. I have some ideas for these animals.
• Alligators- found in swamps able to follow you in water has hard scales so it's difficult to kill. Not tameable you can't breed them yourself but baby alligators will spawn. When killed drop leather and alligator scales that u can use to make armor.
• Sharks- found in deep parts of bodies of water is fast and cannot leave water. Deals 3.5 hearts of damage not tameable or breedable baby sharks do spawn. Drops leather and shark teeth used to make a potion of water breathing.
• Bears- found in caves deals 4.5 hearts of damage drops fur(used to make fur armor)and bear eye used for night vision potion. Not breedable maybe tameable by taming a baby bear(that spawn in caves)with raw cow beef.
•Polar Bears- found in snowy/icy areas deals 4.5 hearts drops white fur(used to make white fur armor)and bear eye used to make night vision potion. Not breedable could be tameable by finding a cub and giving it beef.
•Lions- Found in jungles deals 4 hearts of damage drops fur and lion teeth used to make a special sword. Not breedable or tameable baby lions spawn two at a time and stay close together with adults.

Maybe have... a 1 in 5 chance of a wolf being hostile towards players for no reason or something.
How do you search for exactly that topic to see if it has been discussed
That's what I was thinking having them appear during the day or only on peaceful mode or hardcore
