The thread on space helmets made me think about this. How about if your hunger bar goes down more quickly at higher altitudes, i.e. up high mountains say, or above cloud level? This is possibly a really pointless suggestion, but it just popped into my head so thought I would share it.
Not practical to the design of Minecraft and doesn't add much to the game as a whole, plus, it limits a lot of sky-island / space station / or other sky-type builds that some players might be interested in doing.
If implemented, I can see someone asking for a negative impact due to high pressures in deep water.

Yeah I wouldn't like this in Minecraft. I can understand real life for sure.. But.. Not in Minecraft I'm sorry to say but I won't support, just for a lot of reasons like Greg said.
I spend a lot of time underwater and in the sky with my stuff so It would really impact my gameplay.
However.. I'm not saying this is a bad idea at all. It's not too bad at all.
