I think itd be sweet if in host options (say if you were in splitscreen with a friend) the host could switch to creative while the second player stays in survival. Sure I know its a very little and almost pointless thing but the little things help people be more creative. I play this game tons with my brother and when making our own story line weve always found it difficult to switch back from creative back to survival over and over again when you can simply switch it up in PC version. Again I know its a small thing but thats really the only thing that bugs me in this game! a great game hope to see more come out of it!
I never really use Host Privileges so...... I can't comment on the details entirely but if you don't know what that is try checking it out.
I'm not sure if it's done through just creating the world... Or if it's an option you can just choose before loading the world.. can't remember.
But yeah check that out. Should be in the section I think where you can turn on and off things like fire spread etc.
The difference is that the host doesn't have an endless supply of blocks in their inventory when using host privileges. A second difference is that the host must still use tools to break blocks.
OP: The best workaround is to load up your inventory in creative mode and then exit and save and then switch the game to survival with host privileges. I doubt the "in game" "on-the-fly" switching will ever occur because of the way in which the leaderboards and achievements report in to Xbox Live for survival only worlds (which is a concern that the PC version doesn't have to accommodate).
I wish they added console commands from PC as options by pressing the back or view button. I especially would like to make the rain stop, or change difficulties mid game. In order for them to be available on a server, you would need to enable cheats before loading the world, disabling achievements and preventing what UpUp_Away95 is concerned about.
