I have a friend who has the PC version of Minecraft and it seems so much harder and more fun. I know a lot of people do not want it too be harder but please keep reading. For one, even on hard mode, once you get full iron and an iron sword it is pretty hard to die. Once you get full diamond however, you are almost invulnerable. Second, me and my pal started a new world, and in less than a week we have killed the ender dragon. Now, if many people are against it being any harder, could we make a new difficulty for the players that are really good? It could be so mobs spawn more frequently, and that they are harder. If you have anything else to point out, please leave a comment. I'll try to reply and point out more good points of why it is too easy right now.
Instead of trying to come up with new player modes... why not have something like a slide bar when you enter Hard Mode to choose different difficulty levels, something like Hard Mode Level 1 being equivalent to the current hard Mode Difficulty, up to Hard Mode Level 10. Where Hostile MOB's Spawn in Illumination level 10 or less (Blazes in Illumination level 12/13 or less), increase the spawn frequency of spawners and the number of MOB's allowed per chunk/more MOB's per Pack spawning, more health/armor on MOBs, MOB's do more damage on attacks. Zombies and Skeletons don't burn in daylight, Zombies break doors faster, Hostile MOB's can spawn within 16 blocks of the player (instead of 24). Lava and fire and drowning does more damage per tick. etc.
Since More Hostile MOB's are spawning, less passive MOB spawns with appropriate adjustments to spawn caps, etc.

Yeah I like that, for me it seems like Survival is getting too simple but this should spice things up.

I was thinking this as well..
Something I was going to make a thread about.. but decided not to due to the brown coats taking away a thread of mine due to a topic I didn't know existed in the PC and legitimately tried looking up but found nothing (on here at least).... Some people helping thank you..... probably could've just fit in the small suggestions section.. But since this is here... may as well suggest here.
I was going to make a thread about maybe Fatigue... Fatigue as in... You can't run across the world forever without getting tired. I understand there's a technicality that food could in fact be a fatigue, but what I mean is... running only for a short time before you have to walk for a certain amount of time before you have to walk again.
But it could be things like... having to sleep at times because you're sleepy... etc.
Maybe things like... the occasional drought or something so your crops get rotten...
Be careful, the game is about to get harder as it is. In this update alone creepers in hard mode will do 33% more damage, and when mobs start to be able to pick up equipment should you die you'll have to fight to get yourself back. Furthermore all mobs will soon have a chance to get better equipment, Also all mobs will also get that 33% more damage in hard difficulty.
Although I do believe that a difficulty scale is a good idea, I don't like the idea of playing with light levels, and changing the properties of mobs like not burning during sunlight. Scaling their equipment and thus their damage sounds like a plan to me.

We could say "oh yeah the only things you can use are wooden tools and leather armor" But that doesn't make certain things accounted for.
