On Xbox, When you're host and press the back button on your controller, up comes the player/invite board. The host can click on a player and either teleport to him/her or teleport him/her to the host. Only host can do this. Now for the chests, If your host you can start and set the option on lock chests. The host can lock chests for anyone. And host can give a player the priviledge to lock his/her own chest. Please consider this, i need this.
It would require a bit more logic built into the game...not much more... but, as it stands now, the generic chest has no player association once it is created and set in place.
The downside I see with this is that there would be no real way for players to share a chest if the 'share/locked chest' options was selected...and no way for them to open environmental (non-player made/placed) chests.... which could be the point... but it might be better to have players have an option to lock/unlock specific chests for other players who create and place the chests (like just a checkbox in the chest inventory screen that can be toggled only by the 'owner' of the chest).

I say have it be player preferences. If they have a specific chest they do not want anyone to open... Then I am for it.
But of course the flaw with it is.. even if you can lock a chest... if a creeper blows up beside it the chest explodes too.
So... Maybe this could go in combination with an Enderchest as opposed to just a plain chest?
Well, ender chests are right around the corner so private items are that big of a concern. Although, I think that teleportation could be unique (not for survival.) maybe with host privileges or creative mode.
