How about instead of a TNT trap in the temples, it just endlessly spawns a crap ton of mummies if you touch the pressure plate? The temple stays in one piece and the loot doesn't get destroyed.
I mean as items in creative menu. There are spawn eggs but no cages. There are ways to make substitutes with redstone though so i guess it works for now.
But yeah...Sectional Moderator in the Sky, cue the lock!
The temple could be full of mummy spawn cages
