mob abilities would be like a potion effect when you get hit by the mob and only
happens on hard.
skeletons would have a 10% chance to hit you with weakness lasts 10 seconds
zombies would have a 10% chance to poison your hunger lasts 20 seconds
creepers blast would have a 10% chance to hit you with slowness lasts 10 second
spiders would have a 10% chance to poison you lasts 10 seconds lasts
ender men would have a 10% chance to blind you lasts 10 seconds
you would be able to toggle this on or off

I play on hard anyway. Just to make things more "interesting".
I've tried it... I didn't find it that much harder, but was annoyed by having to frequently replace village doors... and I really don't feel like making them all iron.
I have enough problems with creepers leaving craters in my pristine landscape... Oddly enough... I don't play the game to constantly be repairing damage of one sort or another.... but I do like to build and grow villages on the surface....

I just replaced doors with gates, they can't seem to be able to break through them, because I've never had to replace even one of them.
