This is a decent idea, but may confuse some people. I get it, but I don't know if others would. Nice idea and I would use it.
Don't talk about others. Talk about you. You like it = you like it. If you press don't support, this is because YOU don't support it. I don't say you are bad.
Don't support.... because I'd probably have a heart attack ... that, and I really don't have the floor space to use Kinnect...and I have downstairs neighbors.
This would be extremely movement intensive... it would be an intense workout, however.
But not supporting it... not because the idea is good or bad, but more because I wouldn't use it... and based on the following, it is supposed to be from my own point of view, not the view of others:

But he didn't say it was a bad idea or anything.. :S
I would pass on using it, too. The game really isn't built to work that way. I thought getting to 3,000 points on a Wii Sports game was tough...this would kill me....
No mention method of changing out the items in your hand (i.e. selecting them from the 9-slot hotbar) quickly. No mention of how you would scroll and select items from the main inventory once you "slapped" to open it.
Overall, I feel many of the actions would be too slow to successfully ward off a creeper blast and envision a huge number of Minecraft deaths would be the result. For example, as presented... if you spotted a creeper while mining, you would have to stop moving, slap to open the inventory, (somehow) change from your pickaxe to your sword, and initiate a blow to the creeper before it all blows up in your face.
There is also no way this would work with splitscreen mode, which is one of the major positive selling points of Minecraft on the console vs. the PC (and if, somehow, splitscreen Kinnect could be made to work, IRL hospitalizations would probably happen before too long).
I think there are a LOT better uses of the RAM and processing power needed to run Minecraft than hooking in Kinnect.

Curse PremiumI got a suggestion. Maybe you can add a kinect option in minecraft?
Walking : Walking on the spot
Running : Running on the spot
Jumping : Jumping
Punch (to break blocks) : Punch nowhere ( in the air )
Fly : Jump to times fast
Move head : lean toward the desired direction
Open inventory : "Slap" w/ your hand (like if you want to change a tab in the xbox menu)
Close inventory : same thing
Use object / place block / open chest : move our hand like when you place a block
Menu : say "Menu"
Grab item ( in any types of grids ) : Place your hand toward the desired tile and do as if you wanted to catch the object / block.
I think this is it!

Curse PremiumKinect is made for that.
But he didn't say it was a bad idea or anything.. :S
For same reasons such as what greg said.
Stay fluffy~
Half support.
I suppose if you have trouble you could just have the controller in your hand.

Curse PremiumTurning our head have 2 problems. 1. You can't see the screen xD! 2. Kinect have difficulty to see if our head is turned.
Left shoulder forward, turn right.
Right shoulder forward, turn left.
