Simple as It sounds...
Can we get an option to keep the world dark until you feel the need for light (Never)?
Like...just an option that doesn't allow the sun to come up. This is the only thing I can think
of to make minecraft more intense for those hardcore survival players.
Or.. an optional setting to set the time to any static value, so that you could have it always be dawn, dusk, noon, midnight or anywhere in between, and maybe even set the moon to a particular phase (new, waxing crescent, waxing half, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, waning half, waning crescent).
If command blocks are introduced on the XB360, this could be doable by using them, but that would only be a creative mode feature. I'm not sure if a setting like above should disable leader boards or not, as it will certainly impact certain aspects of game play and frequency of MOB's in general.
I have a world with about 33% of the sky covered in Lapis to create a permanent night...so I think adding something along the lines of /gamerule doDaylightCycle eventually would be useful for mapmakers and "NeEds moAr harD!" people.
I Was about to start that project last night. Its gonna take me sometime but I think I can cover the sky. Was gonna use black wool expecting it to be the darkest block....
