We desperately need an option to disable natural animal spawning in creative mode. I cannot even count how many times animals have either disrupted the testing of or completely ruined my redstone creations. Every time I try to kill anything that gets in the way, I break something important. There needs to be a way to make it so animals (or anything) can only spawn with the use of eggs.
I agree. I hate when I'm doing something that requires concentration and then... MOOOOOOOOOO!!!! or when I'm trying to test out an animal farm and there's already 10,000 animals per chunk and i can't spawn any because well... there's 10,000 animals
i hate bulding things and just having some cow or something get in my way then i hit it and it wont move so i keep hiting it and end up braking part of what i was bilding
I definitely hate animals, like they down either inside my structures, or on my minecart tracks, so when I'm riding the minecart, I bounce all the way back the the beginning of the tracks because a pig is in the way, even if I put a fence around the tracks, the still spawn on the tracks, we should be able to turn off animals in creative mode, maybe this might allow us to spawn more than 16 mobs with spawn eggs
Yeah...because flooding the map is time-consuming and no-one really thinks to pen them all up somewhere way off in the distance.
(Odd way of agreeing.)
I know, right? I tried that to keep them from spawning on my minecart rail and stopping the minecart. Even after spamming in deep underground pits they still spawn all over, even on the rails (they like spawning on there for some reason). And before you ask, yes, they are spawning on them because I placed fences on the sides of the entire track and they still show up ON the track. They should add the feature from 1.5 where mobs won't go on rails on their own.
But anyway, I hate seeing animals everywhere. Even if they're far away from me it annoys me.

I've done that before.. and they just spawn back to where they can annoy me.....I have been bagging for this for ages.
Even for survival... I have been pleading for an option that allows us to just turn them off.
I have no problem turning them on when I need them, and having them off all the other times.
Cause I have no problem eating bread for food all the time, or other means of getting hunger bars back.
And in creative mode they have no purpose whatsoever. period. they're useless.
I thought animals only spawned on grass blocks, do any of your tracks go on, or are adjacent to grass blocks?? You typically wouldn't want either your fence, nor your track 'on' a grass block, otherwise, animals 'could' spawn right on your tracks ... and yes, they (animals aka. passive MOBs) are attracted to light in the same way that monsters (aggressive/hostile MOBs) are repelled by light.
Sorry... I haven't done much with minecarts as such, I usually do mostly red-stone circuitry when I go into creative mode, otherwise, I spend much of my time in survival where I don't have a lot of need for a minecart.
(Odd way of agreeing.)
Stay fluffy~

Too bad this one took over my thread.
