Dear Mojang,
Me and my friend were talking about redstone blocks and came up with this great idea. What if a redstone blocks could power several items within a certain radius maybe 10 or more blocks away when activated??? It would really help with housing. It would almost be like a power box, or generator for a house. Imagine then possibilities...........................
I feel like this would get annoying, especially if you're using something that normally require power as decoration in that region, or something. I like the confusing challenge of trying to make redstone itself work.
Technically... a redstone torch by itself can power several items within a 15 block radius, you just have to connect it to the power source. It is the 'redstone wiring' that can be elusive.
One person in another thread suggested a sort of redstone ender block that would be able to transmit/receive power between it and another redstone ender block for effectively wireless communication of redstone signal.
Edit: ...and for some reason now, I can't find the original thread discussing it.
Here's an idea I had regarding the wireless transceiver idea for a recipe:
Bottom middle, Enchantment Table.
Center, Redstone Block
Remaining surrounding slots: Eyes of Ender
Creates a block that has in input side (maybe the bottom) and multiple outputs (sides and top)
RT to activate 'Ender Passcode' Text-Box Interface, where you can key in a text line, this 'passcode' is used to associate blocks together so that multiple blocks only interact with those sharing the same 'passcode'.
The Input power level to any one block in a set is (cumulatively) added to the output to the other blocks within in the same set (up to 15), but it does not count toward its own output power levels.
