I think that all items in creative shouldn't be able to be picked up after you break it. It's extremely annoying to have to clear your inventory so much cause things keep dropping. Or having to pick it up period, since you're obviously just trying to get rid of it, not pick it up.
If it's an issue about, "well, what if I want to use that item?" I don't see a problem with just going to the Creative Menu with X and just selecting everything you need beforehand and just managing what's in your hold-menu and your inventory and just exchanging items within the menu's.
Things like doors, beds, TNT, and extended pistons need to be fixed so they don't drop when broken in Creative....
Other things broken via block updating such as signs on walls probably should stay dropped. I find it easier to pick up the drop and replace it when I accidentally knock it off of the wall by breaking whatever it was on.

For once we agree on something
cause that would yeah be annoying to fix something by openiing up the creative menu just for one block. But normally I wouldn't have to worry about that cause the blocks I need are always selected beforehand.
Are you talking about when a buttons, levers, torches, etc. drop when you break the block that they're on? If so, I don't really mind that. But I really would like a better way of selecting/replacing items in the Creative menu. I hate how you have to clear your whole hotbar to make room for new items. I'd much rather be able to select an item from the Creative menu, and then (with that new item attached to the cursor) click on a item in my hotbar that I want to replace, thus placing this new item in my hotbar while discarding the old one.
Yeah cause there's many times where I go to click on something, forget that I haven't clicked it twice and then close it and didn't even replace a spot with something else.
But what you're trying to do, I think it's possible cause I think I've done it many times.

Some examples are doors, pressure plates, etc.
Thoughts?
