Often in minecraft I make large redstone machines and they don't work right because there is a render limit (only so many things can be dropped on ground, only so many pieces of sand of gravel can be falling at once. Problems like these ones only result in all the wheat not being harvested, or lag that ruins my giant connect four game. The limit on actions should be increased because people like me who like redstone feel restricted on xbox when our creations are useless. For the number of items dropped on the ground, I wouldn't even mind if the cap was removed at all because there isn't one on pc and the lag is easily solvable just by picking up all of the items.
However, to try and still address this issue, a slide bar in the game settings/options could be implemented IF you were willing to sacrifice other memory intensive actions, then you could reallocate that freed-up memory to dedicate toward other resources such as redstone logic or in game actions (such as the number of blocks falling at the same time. Turn down render distance, turn off sounds, etc. Maybe even an option to turn off redstone area illumination (as this can cause lag when trying to compute lighting changes as the redstone circuitry turns on and off again)
Make the bar locked to a specific upper cap while the basic settings are in effect and as resources are freed-up, the cap is increased on the available memory allocation for redstone logic , and as other resources are increased, the cap to the available memory allocation for redstone logic is arbitrarily decreased.

It's not that we won't have things like that; it's that we can't have them.
