I suggest that an new option be added to the map generator that, when checked, forces the generation of one village on the new map.
This village can spawn anywhere in any biome (even in ocean).
This option would be useful for two reasons.
1. When starting with random seed, you can rest easy knowing your certain to get a village.
2. You can have villagers on a seed you already like, but doesn't naturally have villagers (such as an ice map) without using Creative mode to add them.
In already current existing maps that have already been generated, there would be problems "forcing" spawn chunks into the map. People say, when generating a new map you can get new biomes from new updates if you have uncovered land. Although this may be somewhat true, its not always a successful generation. It may fail.you may not even get any of the biome you wanted. I Can agree with some of this but not all of it. I think it'd be better if 4J just does what they did with the nether fortress. They made it so every map MUST have a nether fortress (Or so they say).I haven't had a map that didn't have a nether fortress or a village though, so I can't see this really being a problem. If we gotten tons of complaints about people not getting villages in there maps maybe. I Just don't think putting villages in older maps would work out to well.

You misunderstand, this option would only apply to new squeaky clean never been played on maps with no preloaded chunks.
Old maps (save files) would not get this option for the exact reasons you mentioned.
EDIT: And yes, it would force generate the village in much the same way nether fortresses and ender portals are generated.

That's funny... in my testing on about 20 different seeds, I'd have to say less than half of them successfully spawned a village, and a Mushroom biome is even more rare to spawn in the world at all... I think I've had 4 out of the same 20. I have yet to see a map spawn with both a Mushroom biome and a village at the same time, although, I'm sure it is out there.
I had made the suggestion in another thread to allow for other Biome types for villages to spawn in, just because of this difficulty in village spawns that I was noticing.
