I relize you can make these things out of stairs, slabs, signs.... but if they were just added they'd look much better. Sofas and chairs would require wood planks and maybe a piece of wool or two. Desk would simply be wood planks. Could be added under the decorations tab.
I totally agree about this. And maybe a cupboard (which would work like the chest, but look different for variations)..
All in all, I wish there was a Furniture Builder that worked similar to the one in the original MySims, where you could built practically any furniture you want, but you don't need to be Albert Einstein to guess that that's out of the question...
Sofa could be sat on, like minecarts or boats, but remains stationary. Desk could be 2 blocks wide and used for decoration. If you say it's pointless, look at the Sponge Block. Completely useless. (sofas are 2 blocks wide too) The Chair could be one block wide, and is easier to craft.

Just 'cause my name's MasterHalo, don't expect me to be GOOD at Halo.
It's not like these kinds of furniture would change the general rules of the game or something. Those of you who are against this idea can just choose NOT to use them yourself. It's not like someone would force you to use them.
I wouldn't mind paying a little more for a pack of furniture if that's the case. Put them in an optinal downloadable pack. The players interested could have the option of using them, and those against wouldn't have to even see them...
So besides the fact that you wouldn't use them yourself, what would be the problem of others using them?
Implementing new features takes time, lots of time. While I would not mind having more decorative blocks, I would much prefer that j4 spent their time on more interesting and useful features (like hoppers or adventure mode).
