Wouldnt it be cool to have a variety of armor? It might not be efficient to use but it would be cool to have lapiz armor and tools, for decoration in item frames or for pvp maps to decipher teams. It would be greater than leather less than gold. Personally I would wear that all the time. Yes? No?
Wouldnt it be cool to have a variety of armor? Aren't you happy with five? Guess not.
It might not be efficient to use Sounds like a waste of time and resources already.
but it would be cool to have lapiz armor and tools, for decoration in item frames Opinion.
or for pvp maps to decipher teams. That's what skins are for.
It would be greater than leather, less than gold. So 4-5 armour points. Iron's easier to come by and far stronger.

1.The whole xbox 360 suggestions are opinions.
2.Everything is a waist of resources building a proper house when you could just live in a cave or a dirt shack, and you said you build custom maps right? wouldn't extra tools/ armor help to give you more of a variety to give to the peple playing your maps, if you make anything that is adventure maps or ctm maps having an armor rating that is lower would make the maps more challenging
3. skins dont decipher teams if both teams are wearing armor which covers up the skin
4.iron is easier to come by, but lapiz isnt hard to find either i have 3 stacks of lapiz blocks, so your telling me i should just go dye 1,728 sheep/ wool
Yeah, make cool Lapis armor and then put red stone all over it that connect to two red stone whips so that you have a fighting chance against Iron Man.
Off topic I know, but in my mind it looks amazing.

maybe if you put a block in the furnace it would give you 2 ingots or if you put it into a crafting table and craft an ingot.
He really likes to over analyse and nit pick doesn't he?
How about steel armour
Add new ores to game like copper steel carbon
Off topic... but felt the need to address
Steel isn't and ore, and carbon is already in the game... It's called coal/charcoal.
Steel is caused by a carbonization process of iron... the carbon hardens the iron... too much carbon, and you can only cast the iron (hence: "cast iron" / you can't forge it anymore because it is too brittle)
You would probably need to refine the iron by running it through the furnace a second time to get rid of the impurities before adding the carbon on a crafting table, and then cooking the carbonized refined iron to get steel.
If you're going to add copper, zinc and tin might be good to add for the option of bronze and brass alloys.
Other metals would give the opportunity to have additional armor types in the game.
But could add rubies, emeralds, sapphire blocks if you want the more decorative red, green, blue armors.
I believe that there's a PC mod for this though....
obsidian is too easy to come by.... unless you wanted to give it a fatal flaw for balance purposes.
Hard as Diamond (Protective Value), minimal durability... and when the item health runs out, the shrapnel explodes and does damage to you as you are lacerated by the hundreds of tiny razor sharp obsidian bits....Almost like having an upgrade on that glass armor....
Now, Obsidian as an alternative for arrow heads...
Why not? There's Glass armor in Skyrim. The armor is made from Refined Malachite. Malachite, in real life, is a monoclinic crystal.
Ok... not that Skyrim=Minecraft... but since Obsidian is AT LEAST as easy to come by as leather (in the long run), what would the properties of Obsidian Armor be to make it 'game balance wise' comparably equivalent to Leather Armor?
Stay fluffy~

ps I agree with what you said there.

Retired StaffAre you seriously proposing glass armor?
