This doesn't fit the theme of Minecraft much at all...that and I know I've seen suggestions on dreams before.
Either way, we sleep to skip to day, not go to Candy Land.
This thing is obviously not coming any time soon because the chance that you have the same dream twice is extremely rare, so Mojang or 4J is going to have to work REALLY hard to make all those worlds. They will have to make a Ton of worlds. So... NO!

Yesterday I was on my way to class, when a black cat fell from the sky. I didn't really know what that nonsense was about so I asked him if I could step around him because he was bad luck, but he simply meowed and then disappeared. I was a bit worried that maybe he'd teleported to Afghanistan or somewhere equally dangerous, but a wizard came and assured me that it was alright. I threw my Zune at him because I was 78% sure he was lying. The wizard roared at me and sentenced my mother to thirty five years of chain smoking. I was sad.
it could work where you have a 40 or 30% chance to have a dream or a nightmare and for a nightmare it would use all of the ambient cave sounds much more frequently and u could use the slow, drunk and blind potion effects and all the while a figure approaches you very slowly and it would be creepy if while this was happening there was a sound of a heartbeat constantly being played and when u wake up again after a nightmare you would be missing half a heart and just to add to the realizm it would be cool if after a nightmare for about a minute you have an effect called startled which would make the screen zoom in on any mob that comes into view with a single cave sound playing except the mob would have red eyes like an angry wolf and also the screen would turn red and for those who dont want to experience nightmares it can be turned off as well as dreams in the game options or one instead of the other and to really scare ppl you could have a few options like re-occuring nightmares so that the frequency of having a nightmare would increase by 10% for every time u sleep in a bed after having a nightmare and a double nightmare where u wake up from a nightmare only to find that you are in another nightmare soemthing like that... sorry guys i kinda looked into the whole nightmare dimension comment too deeply but thats it in a nutshell also u could have a nightmare mode where its like that all the time just my suggestion for the suggestion about the suggestion
I like the idea of going to bed in a certain portal configuration to enter some sort of a nightmare dimension in which there is a special mob type that has a very interesting twist, they make you nauseated when you look at them or when they get closer, possibly too outside the box, but I would love a new hostile mob and a new dimension, it's getting close to time that Mojang did release these things. Should have to involve something from the end to reach this dimension, you need to get to the nether to reach the end, and thus you should have to reach the end to make it to this newer dimension.
also it would be cool if the very first time u had a low chance of getting into the dream/nightmare dimension and afterwards u could make a dream nightmare bed one would be black the other would be blue allowing you to return there at night unlike the regular bed which has a chance for all three
IMO, if this is a dream state, than what you do in this state should not have consequences that carry over into the normal game (hunger, XP, Life, inventory), conversely, you should not be able to bring the gear you have with you into this state.
Regarding MP games....
I'm assuming that that this would apply to ALL players or NO players in a MP game? ie, you wouldn't have an instance where some players would be in this dimension while others would be stuck in limbo waiting for others to finish their Dream expedition so that they can experience "something" to happen in the game?
Inquiry...
What, exactly, is the point of this additional 'dream' dimension? Is it just to dance around in a 'candy land' environment? Or to live out a fantasy of faeries,, sugar plumbs, and candy? Something that could just as easily be done with a 'candy land' skin pack?
If you mean that making someone sleep and teleporting them into a dream candy land which has to be more hard than The Nether filled with evil candy mobs and stuff like that AS a trolling tool and the player on candy land can never return THEN YES I WANT THIS.

Well maybe it could still be this way, I mean, that's like saying "Minecraft is obviously not coming any time soon because they would have to make tons of different worlds to play in. So... NO"! Maybe every time you go its different, like a regular world, and every time you exit,
it deletes that world, but not the stuff you got from that world.
Also, if they did add this, there should be a question that asks "would you like to enter the dream dimension"? when you go to sleep sometimes, because, it would be really annoying being forced to go into a dream dimension a lot of the time. I also think it would be cool if it had its own music, the dimension was a large floating island in some sky, and to exit, you would have to jump off and the island and the screen would go all white and the normal music would start again and you would be in the overworld once more!
Now for nightmares, it wouldn't even ask you if you would like to go or not because nightmares are a lot rarer to go to. Then, a demented version of the overworld music would go on and your would be trapped in a world full of creepy mobs. When you leave you'll have nausea IV for 3 minutes. There IS one way to leave without nausea, in the nightmare dimension, there would be a crystal you would have to find. once you find it break it to not have nausea and when you leave, you have a golden apple in your inventory. To leave the dimension with nausea you have to be killed by the mobs.
The basic premise behind Minecraft is that it is, at its core, a sandbox game. That means, you achieve through the game by using your creativity to build, whether that be in creative mode or survival mode... even in adventure mode, a map is (typically) "created" by the host.
Here we are talking about a world that pretty much deletes anything you try to do in it and really has no other world effect except to make you sick upon wakening if you happen to have a nightmare.
...and how would Multiplayer mode work? Is it your plan that only some users be able to enter this 'dream-state' while the rest of the players have to wait until their dream is over? What's the point of that? That sounds incredibly *NOT* fun for those that don't happen to get randomly selected to enter the dream state. If 2 or more players enter a dream state, would they have different random worlds generated, or would they be in each other's dreams?
I like the idea of other realms/worlds, but not temporary worlds that get arbitrarily deleted, or are being used to to gain some sort of in game advantage in the main game.
On multiplayer everyone could go to dream land and battle each other or something and the winner gets a prize of candy or something unique to only dream dimension. Then once you die you go to the nightmare dimension until someone wins.

No Enemys
Candy trees
Candy restores 1 heart
Rainbow leaves
Candycane trunks candy mobs
Either way, we sleep to skip to day, not go to Candy Land.
