Copper would be a ore, found along the sides of mineshafts, and at the dead ends of strongholds. It is extremely rare to be found outside of mineshafts and strongholds. Unlike iron, gold, and diamond, it cannot be crafted into swords, shovels, pickaxes, and hoes. It can be smelted into ingot like gold and iron ore. Like all ores (except red stone and coal, because that is currently only on the PC edition.) it can be made into a block. Sometimes skeletons will have copper tipped arrows on there bows. Rarely skeletons will drop the arrows.

1. already recommended in other threads
2, copper is not more rare than iron
3. who said red stone was electrical (carries a current) in nature?
3a. why should it go 'forever' anyway? copper is a good electrical conductor, but it isn't that good.
4. why couldn't you craft it into weapons / armor / tools
You're copper tipped arrows seem extremely expensive.... 6 iron ingots (for 2 iron rods) and a copper ingot for only 16 arrows? No feather or wood either? Looks more like a copper tipped 16' Iron Pike by that recipe. That's the same number of metal ingots needed to craft metal armor leggings. And the Battle axe recipe looks more like a metal shafted pole axe/halberd/crozier recipe
also, copper is softer than iron
Your throwing knife recipe is extremely expensive... what happens if you hit your target... is there a way to get it back?
This proposal seems rather convoluted. I would like a nice copper colored block for building variety; but the rest of it just seems like something I would never bother with. Who cares whether the tip of an arrow is copper or flint... if the arrow itself doesn't do anything special?
