Hello everyone, I have a major suggestion that I believe Creative Mode users should seriously consider. My friends and I are always working on massive projects and structures, it's taken us days to do things that -with this feature, could literally take a few minutes. Problem: We've spent countless days & hours filling simple walls & structures, and working on things that could take a small number of minutes with the right tools. Basically, we're wasting valuable time that we shouldn't have to. Solution: Add a New Fill & Clear Tool/Option, The idea is simple, Place two "Marker Blocks", (each on an opposite corner of the area you would like to fill), a menu then pops up, you select one of the available blocks to fill in, (Such as: Stone, Quartz, Dirt, etc.) And you either Select 'FILL', or 'CLEAR'. If you select 'FILL', it will fill the entire area in between the two blocks acting as corners, creating a rectangle of your set specifications. (This will also replace any blocks or items between the two "Marker Blocks"). If you select 'CLEAR', it simply clears the entire area of EVERYTHING in between the two "Marker Blocks".Screenshots:Here are some in-game examples, the Redstone blocks represent the "Marker Blocks" (Recommended Max. Fill & Clear Dimensions: 128x128)Image #1: Fill Mode - Image #2: Clear Mode (Left side = Before, Right side = After)
I saw this feature in Total Miner: Forge and I'd like to see it in Minecraft as well. My only worry is fans fighting about which game is better and Minecraft being accused of "copying".
Also, Total Miner: Forge has the idea of kind of copying Minecraft itself. They are pretty different though, and people shouldn't even care if a certain feature being similar to another game (albeit very similar, but they can tweak it) is added. As long as it makes the game better, the feature is a-okay to me. Sorry for rambling. This had better be meant in the MCXB360 category...
