Ok, I have an Idea...goblins. I think that we need some xbox exclusive blocks items and mobs but i am here to tell you about a new mob...goblins:
STATS:
15 hearts
Speed: fast (player running speed)
Armor: leather armor(or goblin armor(new) comes in different colors green orange red etc.)(uncraftable)
weapon: wooden-stone swords or bows
Height: Small maybe 1 1/2 blocks tall 1 block wide
how they spawn: They can only spawn in goblin villages(sort of looks like villager villages but more defensive looking w/ walls and archer towers)
damage delt to players(holding a stone sword or bow)(1/2 heart less with wooden sword): 6 hearts(no armor) 5 hearts(leather armor) 4 1/2 hearts (gold armor) 4 hearts (chain armor) 3 1/2 hearts (iron armor) 3 hearts(diamond) armor
Zombies will try to raid the village( goblin vs zombie wars)
They can attack zombies, skeletons or spiders if they are in range(5-10 blocks away)
They have chests inside the village with random loot(like normal villages)
They do not wander to far from their village(5-10 blocks)
They can spawn at any light level(it would be the same mechanic as witches in the PC)
Drops when killed: stone or wooden swords, bows, arrows, leather armor, gold/ gold nuggets, emeralds(once implemented)
The villages that they live in could have flags Ex. To show if they are from the red clan of goblins or blue brown etc.
These villages would only spawn in plains, extreme hills, forest, or taiga biomes
I think thats it. IMO this would make players think of strategies to take down the village and would give the game a bit of a challenge and i think this would be awesome. tell me what you think, changes, additions etc.
I kind of like this idea. But when I first read the title, I was thinking something a little different. Maybe have them spawn in mineshafts, and be very sneaky and mischievous. They should be rare, and IF you mange to catch & kill it, drop rare items.

goblins wouldnt be in mineshafts though. dwarfs would be but i dont want dwarfs since its abandoned and dwarfs dont fit the game IMO
Just because creepers have ten hearts, that doesn't make it impossible for them to explode and damage stuff. All it takes is one goblin to try and fight two creepers simultaneously.
Also, I'm not a fan of this idea. These goblins seem like pointless mob to me because they don't really offer any new or useful content to the game (i.e. they don't drop any new items, don't provide any new blocks, etc.). They just seem out of place, much like the witch in the PC version. Sorry but no support
then build on the idea , the whole point of a suggestion is to build on it make it flow better...I was thinking that they could drop gold ingots and/or emeralds(when it comes) and they would bring a new feeling of challenge because the way i am picturing these villages they would be quite difficult to take down it would be like 4-5 spawn in the village with pretty high damage so ...creepers wouldnt really be a problem with them and most likely will not spawn inside the village because it will be lit up
and the goblins can spawn with bows so creepers wouldnt get close enough to blow them up.
Sounds good, but even if some can spawn with bows that dosent mean all can, almost seems like goblins would befriend creepers since they are you know.. both green, anyways i think that the spikes and walls are a little to much the goblin villages would be fine without them, besides that i think this would be a great editon to minecraft Support

agreed i thought the walls were to much but just an idea ill get rid of it.

Besides, havent you ever read Lord of the Rings? Goblins take over Dwarven cities all the time.
Anyway, I dont like the whole idea about goblin villages. Maybe 4J can tweek the Abandoned Mineshaft generation to accommodate this new mob. And while I appreciate how much thought you put into it, I don't think they should attack other mobs on sight, nor should they do such a high ammount of damage.
They can drop emeralds as a rare drop to help alieviate the issue caused by the limited map size and to justify adding them to the game. All-in-all, I loosely support this idea.

anyway i like them having such high damage. mobs in minecraft are way to easy to kill even on hard. and maybe they shouldnt attack other mobs if they spawn in mineshafts but the way i was looking at it was that they are defending their village...I think mobs vs mobs would be a cool sight to see. and this last part goesout to everyone reading
If you have ever played runescape the goblins in that is how i am picturing goblins not goblins from lord of the rings

they do 6 hearts of damage the creeper wouldnt stand a chance as it only has like 10
