I think that it would be awesome to have type commands like in the pc version (ex. /gamemode 1) people with a chatpad could use this easier and that would mean setting game mode in game instead of having to exit the game to do it and that is so annoying. Who else agrees?

@McScavenger that is where a chat pad comes in handy. For those of you who don't know what that is it is a cell phone style qwerty texting keyboard that you can attach to your controller on the bottom in between the handels. It fits quite comfortably in your hand to
Typing using a controller has always been annoying, on XBOX, PS3, and the Wii. Having commands like this won't be used by me at all, simply because I refuse to use a controller to type. If they were to add voice recognition to allow you to use commands, it would be great
Not saying that I agree or disagree with the topic, but you can plug just about any type of USB keyboard into your Xbox 360 and it will work. I had a chatpad and I always had issues with some of the keys screwing up making it just as tedious as using only the controller to text, so I now have a $10 USB keyboard plugged into my system. Makes typing so much more convenient.
I get that, but I don't like having a ton of extra things with it. It should just work the way it should out of the box
And I'm the opposite. If a device isn't expandable, then it severely limits what I can do...
As for the topic, typed commands isn't necessarily a priority to me... but it's definitely something that I wouldn't mind having. On my most recent build, I created a few daylight sensors. It would have been nice to be able to use typed commands to make it night time instantly... or allow me to skip night time without needing to find a bed every time to skip to morning. Also being able to change difficulty without needing to dashboard would be convenient, as well.
