We need different kinds of arrows. It shouldn't only just come from flint, as flint CAN be hard to find (not always but I think most of the time) making those who enjoy bows more than swords, etc out of the game partially in terms of combat.
To make up for that.. I think there needs to be different grades of Arrows.
-Such as Iron Arrows (Either the whole arrow [like in some crossbows?] or just Iron Tipped). Iron Arrows have existed for a very long time. So it's a real thing.
-Wooden Tipped Arrows. The weakest of all the grades.
-Stone Tipped Arrows (I know you can argue that Flint and Stone are the same, because they're both stones technically). These would be stronger than Wood but weaker than Iron and Flint.
To put this into perspective.. i thought of this.
Lets say that the Wooden Arrow does 1.0 damage per arrow. Then stone would be 1.1-1.2. Then Flint 1.3-1.4.
And then Iron 1.6-1.7.
I didn't think of Diamond Arrows, but.. I guess if I did.. maybe.. 3.5 per arrow?
We need No, we don't. Bad way to start a topic. The game will not collapse if whatever you're about to suggest isn't added.

-Wooden Tipped Arrows. The weakest of all the grades. Extremely pointless.

And then Iron 1.6-1.7. Damage goes in sets of 0.5. Having 1/10 hearts is too much.

Bows are perfectly balanced the way they are. With a Power IV bow, you can deal enough damage to knock out an unarmoured player, and usually require one, maybe two, hits to kill any standard mob (Endermen excluded).
Adding more arrows would not serve a purpose and end up making the bow too overpowered.

You're probably one of the most critically rude users I've ever seen after having to pin pointedly turning down in every manner like that.
Good you think your own thing.. But a simple "support" or "no support" does just fine man.
Yeah, if you want to chance getting a good bow by using up 30 levels..
I think any Enchanted bow is good tbh. I Killed a skelly and he dropped a
Power 1 Bow and I think its just amazing. I Don't use bows often so I don't really
know the damage difference you know? But 2 Arrows kill a creeper and ghast so the
bow is fine by me. With iron arrows I can see a 1 Hit K.O

One issue I see is that we currently don't have to actually load arrows into the bow to shoot... If we have arrows anywhere in our inventory, the bow works (i.e. even if the arrows aren't in the hotbar). To go to a system of having multiple grades of arrows, the player would have to tell the game at any given time which type of arrow they would want to shoot. That would be far too time consuming and probably lead to the player dying before they could even get a shot off with a bow. I like the way it is right now - where we have different grades of bows (via enchantments) and all the arrows are all the same.
Also, obtaining flint is quite easy. There is lots and lots of gravel underground you can mine to get it. You can also continually place and mine single blocks of gravel until they eventually break as flint. If you're desperate, just rip up a pathway in a village and you'll have enough flint to keep you in arrows for a long, long time... or until you get an infinity enchanted bow.
I disagree.. as Apathy mentioned, we can just enchant the bows. I also disagree that finding flint is hard.. but finding feathers is the hard thing. As I saw on another thread, someone proposed removing feathers from chickens just like wool is from sheep which I think is a great idea.

There's been times where I've had a really hard time finding flint. Even when I did Mine a tonne of it. Unless you get a fortune shovel or pick axe... it's like it's hard to find at times. Guess I just have bad luck sometimes.

Take a block of gravel. Place and mine it until you get flint. Is that that hard to do?
This is in some way a duplicate suggestion. The guys over at there shall be war went into detail about this particular topic, and as upupandaway pointed out, there would have to be some kind of quiver system, which we talked about in there shall be war.

That and ... there are 2-3 others about the same thing, just with a different title. I think one of them was even older than the one you mentioned. But it does make a whole lot more sense to add onto a suggestion and give out ideas if related. Quivers like the person I quoted mentioned, would probably be a must in order to ease this type of suggestion...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I am partial to these. Possible recipes (already used for PC mods no doubt):
:s: :s: (:s: = string)
Iron arrows:
And iron bolts:
Not so sure about the point (pun?) of iron arrows/bolts (other than an extra bit of damage), but the crossbow... sounds like something I'd like seen ported to the 360. It'd be a bit more damaging yet also be counterbalanced with low enchantability and have select enchantments (ex. Power I, Fire Aspect I) as to not be overpowered.

YOUR WHOLE RESPONSE LEFT ME DYING HAHA
There was probably only one I could see remotely worthy of pointing out for criticism like that. Not the whole post.
