This is a thread about the max players being increased from 8 to 12,13,14,15,or 16. I don't want to hear about people saying it will lag more, you dont have to use it I'd rather lag and have fun then have 8 and be bored.
12 Players doesnt mean everyone will lag, it doesnt even mean Lag. I mean look at games of the indie line they have large worlds and still no lag with 12 players

What exactly about lagging with 16 players would make the game more fun? Minecraft barely runs with 8 people as it is, 16 would be infinitely worse.

Minecraft isn't an indie game and is made differently. Have you ever actually played with a full game having everyone on separate internet connections?

Comparing games that aren't Minecraft to Minecraft doesn't make your argument more valid.
All of those indie games run differently than Minecraft. Castle Miner Z starts to lag pretty badly when you get enough people in it. If Minecraft already lags for most people when more than say 4 or 5 people are in a world, why would the want it increased to 12 or 16? If this were a world where everyone had fiber optic gigabit internet, then I'd be all for it. However, not everyone has very good internet.
Minecraft can run smoothly with 12 players I never lag with 7 other people in an Rpg world and im not even host. Maybe you should buy an better Internet Modem to boost your speed. I know alot of people can handle it. How can PC contain so many players?

We do not have that luxury. I for one have perfectly fine internet but not everyone does. Many people complain about the lag in Minecraft.
Im not saying lag doesnt exist im saying I never experience it and many others may never have it so why not at least try to have them as sort of an trial. People like PvP,Rpg, and survival maps and sometimes 8 other players are just barely enough to play a bootleg version of pc PvP and Rpg worlds.

You have to understand something about a developer like 4J. They do not like to add things that not everyone can take advantage of.
Since a lot of people lag when playing Minecraft with other people online, 4J would not add a higher player limit unless they could somehow eliminate the lag. Since that is near to impossible, the possibly of a higher player limit is not likely to happen.

But they should make it so you can atleast have 18 - 24 players. All they need is something to limit the amount of players you can host based on your bandwidth so you don't host laggy games with too many people for your connection.
I agree they should increase the player limit as i always have to leave people out and thats not fair on them ,also this ( lag) people are talking about iv never had any hosting or being the 8th player on anyones world ,if you have lag issues its your internet speed not the game ,,anyway i think up to 25 players would be ideal
