I have a feeling that bones and sticks should deal more damage than lets say your fist or a pork chop. I would rather get smacked with a pork chop than clubbed with a bone. On the PC version, I know that the bones look like your person is holding a bone. I think that the amount of damage dealt should be determined by what you are holding. Hitting someone with a bone, should have a low chance of breaking and turning into three bone meal. The stick should break. This would make it funner when you are beating a mob to death while repeatedly saying "I have a bone to pick with you"
It would be nice to have option to turn that on or off or it would be only on specific difficult the part where your stick and bone and other stuff would break (excluding already breakable items)
To me it's always felt like sticks should do more damage... they almost feel like a weapon in themselves. Though I've never really thought about the bone. I suppose if Cubone and Marowak can make it do damage, we should be able to as well. But I'm not sure about all the breaking stuff... if you just added a 1/2 heart or 1 heart damage onto each and gave it an infinite durability, I'd be fine with it.
I always carry bones to deal with my stubborn plants that won't grow. See, Pokemon were smart enough to do it, so why can't they?I am not asking for that much more damage either. Like one heart would be enough. This would also be good if you want two people to fight in a Colosseum and you want the fight to take a long time.
Awe, I like tickling zombies with a feather and having it hurt them as much as when I schwack them with a bone...
That aside, how would you compensate for the fact that, quite often, what you have in your hand is not a single stick, but maybe closer to a stack of them?. Would each strike with a stack of sticks result in more broken sticks or with a stack of bones result in more bonemeal being dropped? Would a way to get around generating lots of broken sticks be to stop them from stacking in the inventory?
Like every once in a while, the whole stack would not break, just one in the stack. Like if you are hitting a zombie with a bone when you have a full stack and it breaks, your inventory will either gain three bone meal or just drop it if you can't hold it, and the one on top of the stack would break. So your stack would turn into 63 instead of the 64 that it was before the fight?
and It seems unlikely.
But Honestly
It makes sense '-'
Likely: No.
Obtaining even a wooden weapon is easy, and I tend to never carry materials and non-placable/usable things in my hotbar.

Pick axes and swords and other tools certainly do I know that for a fact.
I say nothing wrong with what it's at now.
I don't see floating islands or living skeletons making logical sense either.
Why don't you start a topic about having them removed, too?
