Please add support for network multiplayer. EDIT: Also called "System Link"
Playing over XBLive is great, but comes with some issues. I would love to be able to play in multiplayer without having to bounce the data halfway across the globe just for it to come back to the same room I'm in. Lack of Network Multiplayer also means: If I don't want to Update, I can't play multiplayer. Period.
not even sure I even know what you are talking about... splitscreen? system link? or what...
Splitscreen you can already play not connected to xbox live, as long as it is the console the game was bought on. There is an offline mode, where if not connected to the net you can still sign into your profile and not be connected to live.
If you mean system link... I wouldn't mind seeing something like that for most multiplayer games. Seems now a days the console and game developers are steering clear of the "LAN" type of connect... Which is something that makes me personally not enjoy certain games... This one however is not one of them. I enjoy it without multiplayer bout as much with multiplayer...
Anyway I think what it is, you need to clarify a bit more, as I can't really understand what you even mean by network play or what you are precisely talking about...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Yes, I'm referring to what is sometimes called System Link.
Two systems + One network = Multiplayer over a Network (without XBLive)
And I wouldn't say developers are steering away from them. Both CoD:Black Ops II and Borderlands 2 have support for Network Multiplayer, just to name a couple of recent, major releases.
didn't really see the system link for borderlands 2, as I play that one on split screen at a cousin's house... Most RTS games that i have played recently are not system linkable, and those really should be.
I have never played Block Ops II so I wouldn't know about that. I think they just recently added one to Tom clancy's End War game, but the others not really. It seems split screen for most and system link on the back burner if thought about at all. Especially with games that would be nice to LAN per say systems.
So I can honestly say that since you do mean system link, I would love to see that. Of course you would still be logging in to the live account but in offline mod, unless of course you never got live; which is a different matter all together. It just wouldn't be logging into the main server over the internet. Those whom use cloud would not benefit from this, as they would have to be online in order to do so; which defeats the purpose. I don't really like cloud as storage. And love doing system link with friends around when I can. Miss those days a lot...:D
