First off, let me say that they should add pine tree that is cone shape and a sapling to go along with it. Now a biome that has this tree and the others, and is mountainous and foresty. Also, add a few mobs for it. Deer, passive and run away from you. Moose, will run, but will attack if provoked. Bears, a neutral mob that will fight back. Squirrels, passive and will run and climb trees and hide inside leaf blocks. Actually with bears, there should be brown and black. The brown are bigger and hostile, the black are smaller and neutral. Brown are stronger than black in real life.

So confused. I would rather see redwoods or something like that... similar to what the pc might be getting in 1.7.... But I know I will be playing the pc for what it is and xbox for what it is. Either way any new biome is welcome, although not sure about the execution of this idea. Another snowy biome would unbalance the rest of the biomes... in a way at the moment. We would need more biomes for the compensation of another snowy one. Or we will end up having trouble finding a map that doesn't spawn snow...><

yeah an appalachian biome isnt that great, take it from someone that lives in West virginia. if there isnt trees and mountains.. its hills you cant climb up because it goes straight up

I live within three hours from New Hampshire, so what Appalachians you are talking about and what ones i'm talking about are vastly different from each other. The ones I live near and visit a lot are the white mountains. Those are probably better looking than the Smokies that you live near. Basically a densely forested version of the mountain biome we have now, that the mountains base is wider and the mountain is more pointy.
