Keeping to the genre of the sandbox open world rpg style that minecraft has. There are no fire oriented mobs in the game yet. we have slimes similar to alot of rpg's skeletons and zombies. what about salamanders. we could also add cave bears and bare cubs. on a minor note. there are no creatures monster or farm type animal that can fly. they can add three types of birds. seagulls near beaches, eagles near mountains and "pigeons" thats right just to annoy us. or we can go the route of pokemon and add some legendary animals. elemental birds that only spawn on certain season's so that way we'd have to wait to tame them again if we miss the chance.
No terrible idea!!! If any kind of weeping angel or boo ghost from mario appear in the game im done with it ... just thinking about it ... whats that there in the dark ... turn side ways and look again ... its getting closer what is that ... -blink- its in ur face. runnnnnnnnnnnn!!!

It's from the BBC sci fi tv show Dr Who. They are the stone statues u see in cemeteries. They cover their faces due to the fact that if they were to look at each other they would freeze. Similar to the boo ghost. When you look at them directly they do not move. But if you blink or turn your back on them they get closer to kill you. A quick search on youtube will show you how scary they can be.

We all have imagination's but i learned a long time ago that originality is very hard to come by. weeping angel and boo stay exactly still fixed in place until you stop looking at them.

I love the idea of sharks in the water, but what about alligators in the swamp? They could be in the water and on land, you could collect the skin to make armour that is stronger than leather, collect their meat for food, and you could even find eggs to make a special cake. An alligator tooth pick-axe would look cool also. Another thing that would be cool is desert scorpions. They could be poisonous like cave spiders, and once dead you could collect the poison for potion making (maybe 1 poison + 1 gunpowder = Minecraft grenade fun?) .
Ok what about bees? There could also be honey and bears included with them...honey for food which also attracts bears to fight (or tame with honey?) .

Which is less than most people.
Then have a look at other mobs like squids or the ender dragon.
Bear size is fine.

What if they were a peaceful mob you could tame with the honey? Who wouldn't want a cute tame teddy bear that helps protect you?
Also another idea for a desert creature- A "Diamond" back rattlesnake. They only show up one at a time and drop poison for potion making, skin for armour, and could have a small percent chance of dropping a diamond. This could be an Xbox only creature since we are having to wait so long for villagers to trade with us.
What if they were a peaceful mob you could tame with the honey? Who wouldn't want a cute tame teddy bear that helps protect you?

nvr mnd. after looking up more bear stuff i guess bears would be ok. although i wouldnt promote them to be in minecraft id be fine if they were added
