I for one love the idea but dont think itll be in TU13 I think ittl most likely be in like TU15-16 because of all the coding its goning to take and bugs to fix.....

95% of teens would scream if Justin Beiber was about to jump of the top of the Empire State Building. If you are in the 5% that would grab a seat and some popcorn and yell JUMP! JUMP! JUMP! post this into your sig.You know you want too
Instead of messing around with the seed generator code I would suggest a terraforming program for Xbox. I'd gladly pay another 800 (even 1600) Xbox credits for such a program. Face it. A money maker is more likely to get a company's execs support when major development and testing efforts are involved. People would complain about paying for something that they can get on PC but, in the end, they would sell a ton of them. The market economy wins. The user community wins. The kids who have to beg their parents for ten bucks for another MC program would have to clean their rooms and take out the trash for a week but they'd win too.

Since a terraforming program for the Xbox would likely come with the stipulation that any world using it would become a "created in creative mode" world (i.e. no leaderboard, no achievements), I don't think it would pacify the demand for a biome selector. The two are simply different things that serve different styles of users within the community.
I like the idea of being able to shut off specific biomes from the generation, i really hate it when i find a beautiful seed but its 90% snow. Being there isnt any way to make the snowy areas dissipate or decrease in size short of flying to the sky and covering the sky at the highest build level with glass blocks and torches, i would really love to see it with the ability to include/exclude specific biomes from the areas.
Even a slider to increase / decrease the possible sizes of those biomes would be great.
There's a similar thread going on for the PC version (as you'll probably notice from my sig). There seems to be a lot of support for the idea as a whole. Even if you only play the XBox 360 version, I strongly recommend supporting this feature on the PC in the hopes that we'll get it too.
Here's the code for the banner I'm using, from Badprenup's original post for the PC version of the idea:
If you aren't already using it for something else, put that in your sig (it's set in your profile, if you've never been there) and let's push for this. It could be a huge improvement to the game.
Again, the numbers already exist. They're already in the terrain-generation and monster-spawning algorithms. All the programmers need to do is expose them to the users -- that is, set up an interface where we can adjust them, preferably with little sliders.
We should also be able to turn off caves. I sometimes like to create my oun mines and sometimes i mine into a cave that lets in monsters and basically throughs off the design. Or if your in creative and your building something underground and you bump into a cave it creates a lot of unnessicary work
