I had this idea about adding items that allow you to swim underwater longer and be able to see underwater. I think items such as scuba tanks and goggles should be added. The scuba tank would allow you to breath underwater for a longer period of time(about 5-10 minutes). Goggles would allow you to see underwater the deeper you go because the only thing the makes ocean biomes even worth exploring right now is an underwater ravine and you cant see them. Goggles would be put on the helmet slot in your armor.
Respiration already grants longer time underwater and we will possibly be gaining the ability to see underwater in a later update, which makes different levels of Respiration enchantments clear the water more and more.
So really, the extra the tank is useless I my opinion since we can enchant to breath longer and the mask won't be needed unless 4J specifically states that the Respiration enchantment will not allow underwater view.
