Today i thought about having a game mod that you toggle when generating a world (Like superflat). It would make villagers like hostile mobs that attack you.This mode would also add guns that would be crafted with iron and other material.
All weapons would take a bullet or pellet. Bullets would add 1 more dame to weapons and also go farther and straighter than arrows.Pellets would add no damage. Pellets would go farther and go straighter than arrows like the bullet.

There would be multiple weapons such as rifles and pistols.The weapons would vary in damage, type of firing speed, and special ability The full list is shown below.

Automatic Pistol: Damage 1, Auto Fire, Special: None
Rifle:Damage 3, Single Shot, Special: None
Sniper Rifle: Damage 5, Single Shot, Special: Instant kill at long range if target has no armor,leather armor, or chain armor
Shotgun: Damage 6, Single Shot, Special:Shots three shots,only uses pellets
Rocket launcher: Damage 7, Single Shot, Special: Takes a special kind of ammo, Destroys blocks when round explodes

While being able to shot you would also be able to scope using the up arrow key on your controller. All weapons would only be able to have one zoom but the sniper rifle would be able to have two zooms. You would use the second zoom by pressing up again.
While shooting you need to stop moving for the most accuracy. If walking you while loose 5% of your accuracy. If sprinting you loose 15% of your accuracy. And you can also gain accuracy by 5% by sneaking.

I feel what he is trying to say, im also not a fan of modern day weapons on minecraft(perhaps some old school flintlock or crossbow variants) but I think assault rifles and RPGs would be a little overboard.

As do I, one thing I wouldn't mind is some actual choices a player can make when getting ready for combat rather than sword & bow.
I mean spears and flintlocks and shields.
If you're interested in a thread for that sort of stuff check the 'there shall be war' thread.
But I know exactly what Phoenix means, he srsly like doesn't want anything other than base game seemingly.

just because it is optional doesn't mean it is a good idea to add... After all what will go in vanilla minecraft will have to be at least minecrafty and go with the game complimenting it. This does not compliment minecraft at all. It is not even what minecraft is about. Why guns, why a cod style game play. There are better games out there for that.
Overall I would say it would be better as DLC more than anything... but for me, I wouldn't buy it as I do not play that way....><
Heck it wouldnt even need to be DLC, I have a half-baked idea for a minigame that covers this in a way. its a good multiplayer PVP thing but it does alot more than just constant fighting and brawling over mineral hits.
I do say I am not a fan of guns of any sort... not saying they are a weakling's weapon.. but rather a dishonorable one. However if we alter this idea and have it work as a minigame like the hungar games then it should be fun to play.. in theory

I said that guns were dishonourable. call me insane, but I perfer to Fight up-close and personal. rather than be able to bring a guy down at 100 paces. Granted I wouldnt bring a knife to a gunfight. I would however use a gun to give my self coverfire to advance forward until I got into my range
But we digress..

PC are pretty happy with their mods.
We ain't got that I don't mind anything as long as it keeps to these mash up packs...
