I think it would be a nice idea for 4j Studios to make the addition of a command console to the X360 version of Minecraft. Since typing goes a little slow on the Xbox360, I also thought you could use something such as the dpad to access the console, and choose an option. Then, if you choose something such as giving xp, it would bring up the keyboard screen and then choose your number.

I like this idea. Maybe a thing where you can type it if you have a keyboard or a chatpad, or pick the one you want.
If you have a regular usb key board just plug it in, it will work just fine, tried this in the pre-Minecraft days. Since Minecraft uses the basic Xbox interface for signs it should work.

As much as I love your suggestion (and would love it if it was ever included in the game), I'm afraid this is one of those things that's unlikely to ever happen. Unfortunately, it tends to be nigh impossible to program such an interface without some kind of bugs (of course); however, where this is different than other bugs, is a bug in a command line interface can often be easily abused to take over the whole system. In other words, all it takes would be a tiny little mix up on their part, and suddenly they gave everybody the perfect tool for hacking the Xbox 360.
So, great idea! But, I guess I won't be holding my breath, ya know?
Commands are hard to code, since you have to have multiple out puts and in puts and you also have to code a mistake sheet which tells you what you made a mistake on.
i do want command how ever if it is to much 2 ask i would like the minimum of the sethome home spawn and tp commands and if they add commands there will be a increase of keypads being bot and that would benefit Microsoft as well witch if they where to invest in mojang 2 make commands or something they might get a profit but idk these kind of things im not a marketer its just my opinion but lets estimate here lets go with 500000 people play minecraft on the 360 each keypad is abou $20 if only 50% of the people buy 1 it would be something like $5,000,000 but still it is just my opinion but thank u 4 reading this long [email protected]! postcommand blocks would b nice 2

It wouldn't be an actual console, it would just be a place to type commands.
