This seems like a small suggestion to me.
I, however, wouldn't mind seeing butterflies in-game.
Maybe they could be the "Bat" of the 360...except outside.
(Also, a "bug" is under the classification of Hemiptera; a butterfly is classified as a Lepidoptera.)
Along with butterfly nets and the ability to mount them in item frames (entomology specimens). The game should generate them in a wide variety of colors and markings. Catching them could give XP.

I think this idea suddenly became more awesome. That being said, I wouldn't mind even a generic useless butterfly akin to the bats in the PC edition, either.
The wings should be brewing ingredients. Also, moths. Butterflies in the day, moths at night. Moths should hang around light. The size area needs to be at least five tall and dark so they don't spawn in your house
I'm just saying how majestic would it be if you found a nice place to live then it was topped off with a butterfly flying around? It'd be a beautiful moment.

Yes, I agree with you and forgott. Even just to have them flying around would be a nice addition to the game. I was really just trying to help expand the concept beyond a "small suggestion."
I also like the idea of being able to collect something to display with some variety to it. We don't currently have much in the way of "collectibles" in the vanilla version of the game. From what I've read this morning, there are some mods for PC that do utilize butterfly nets, but from what I can tell, none of them utilize the standard item frames - probably because their butterflies, when captured in the nets, don't drop sprites of themselves that can be placed inside an item frame... So, perhaps it's not even possible to code it that way, IDK. However, I would think it might be a less complicated approach than introducing specific butterfly frames and butterfly jars, etc.
Perhaps too, it could be coded that if we "place" a butterfly sprite in much the same way we place a sapling now, that the butterfly, instead of growing, simply returns to life and flies away. I think it would be really cool to host something like a "butterfly festival" where you could fill the air with a variety of freshly released butterflies (might even be as appealing as fireworks - which I hope we do get eventually as well).
