I think it would be cool to make TNT that would be able to make biomes appear in superflat. This would also be helpful when there is an update that adds a new biome.
Biomes:
Plains-Grass Block
Mountains-Stone
Snow-Block of Snow-Spruce Sapling
Desert-Sand
Forest-Birch sapling and Oak Sapling
Epic Mountains(Higher than normal mountains)-Mountain TNT and stone
Islands-Sand,Dirt,and water bucket
Jungle-Jungle Tree Sapling
Superflat only
Ocean-4 water buckets
River-2 Water Buckets
Pond- Water bucket
If there are any biomes i missed please tell me.
Items used to make these will be in bonus chests and can also be found.
I still support this idea, but how about instead of TNT, biome blocks. You need 9 sandstone to make a desert biome block. You get four of them, place them in corners, and the biome spawns within the blocks. I don't know. I'm just throwing it out there.
I don't "hate' the idea, but being a realist I don't think this will ever be implemented. Not for the 360, at least.
First of all, there's a lot more that goes into a biome than just what blocks are hanging around. There's an underlying code driving each biome. For example, it tells the game what type of precipitation should fall (if any), what shade to give grass and water, and what structures/mobs can be generated.
Having a block that can just change these fundamentals all at once will very likely lag the server immensely, maybe even crash the Xbox. Its a cool idea, but don't hold your breath.
