How about some Items to use as a shelter when you are looking around and searching for a a place in surivial to build a home.
These items would include/ require
sticks and leather to make a Tent
A Messkit/Frying pan
A new block that when lit, stays on fire for 5 full Days in game
the tent would a good Temp Shelter until one can build a protected Shelter. One can build one grand Castle in a mountainside and use the tent as a mobile shelter when searching for hole to dig into.
The Messkit ( as to what is in my irl camping gear) is a fryingpan, plate, and eating utincil pakage that is mainly used by the millitary back in WWII. I say the Frying pan would be more likly since in Minecraft noone uses plates and forks... but the idea behind both is to allow us to cook Food.
As for the "fire brck' it would be a good way to light up an area without useing any of your torces or getting yourself killed in the neather trying to get neatherack. like I said it can burn for upwards to 5 in dame days and nights before needing to be replaced with a new one. maybe they can be made with a combination of Wood and dirt
Other than those three the obvious choice for an addition would be the Backpack, and possibly a packmule
Anyhow, torches are renewable and inexpensive, so I don't see a purpose in the light source.
The like goes for furnaces and fuel.
We're getting horses eventually, and I would assume donkeys and mules would be right alongside them.
I can see how this is a good idea... But I think that You can easily just hold a bed, and then dig a hole in a wall and sleep in there with no issues.
This is true... But I have had problems with Creepers poping up near my bed and explode the moment I wake up and ( depending on wether Im geared up or not) usually get killed.. So I have started building a "lean-to" shelter from Wood planks and Fencing.. its fairly easily tore down, and if you wanted to make a permanent residence in an are.. the Lean-to can be used to as a house section that yo uadd on to as yo udeem fit. Though without a door Creepers still get in... and wreck the place T_T.
Anyhow, torches are renewable and inexpensive, so I don't see a purpose in the light source.

Eh.. its probally just me personally.. but I try to save all my torches for the underground, As for the Furnace and fuel... yes I can see that.. but again this is me trying to conserve space for any food I would have on me, the metal stone and diamonds I will be digging up, all of my tools for the underground ( 2 swords, 2 shovels and 2 pickaxes).and I have been hearing alot about horses latly.. so they are being added, dont see why they wernt there in the first place. lol
